The aesthetics of this cello ocnerto is highly personal in the reoromany=tic style which Penderecki adopted sevral decades fro mow, following experimental beginnings. I find an incantatory tone in that music. Very beautiful rendition directed by Antoni Wit with Tatjana Vassiljeva at the cello.
I am absolutely captivated by his music. Music that stirs your darkest thoughts and feelings, the pure emotion that runs through this music is truly breathtaking. Schnittke brought me here to start this journey, I look forward to discovering more Penderecki. The darker the better!
I absolutely love Penderecki's Cello Concerto! It's so shocking to not see this guy being as big as he really should be. Thank you so much for the upload!
He is considered one of the greatest composers of the second half of the 20th century. His music is used in The Shining soundtrack. He is the one of the composers who shifted the classical music world to Avant Garde with other people such as John Cage, Charles Ives etc.
Może to jest dziwne ale gdy tylko sie wsłuchać w ten utworów zaraz skojazyl mi sie z katyniem ludzi zamordowanych w lesie zakopanych w mrocznych dolach i ciala otulone towarzyszami broni
Yes....it's true....31:18 is like the bright sudden opening of a blazing aperture in some supernova black hole....too short....I wish he'd enlarged that idea....like the last 5 minutes of Bruckner's 4th. Greetings from México!
Para bandas sonoras de películas de terror,suspense....Y para darle a la cabeza y sacar el lado oscuro de uno mismo.De una calidad difícilmente superable
Nothing could have prepared me for this
It's so relaxing..

He is as "big" as he should be, he's well known in the classical world.

This is one a good one.
The beginning of this reminds me of Bernard Herrmann 's stabbing scene in Hitchcock's Psycho😮
I love extremely dark and horrifying classical music
im guessing you've heard of Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima, that is also dark and horrifying
Why ¿
@@klmsfg5196 Because then he forgets what he really is afraid of
