Thanks, Andy! Your lessons are very clear and useful. I was afraid of Chinese language for years (because of writing and tones). And now I have just started and found that the language is beautiful. The lesson with tone pairs is very helpful too. I've found the way to differentiate single tones. But I'm completely lost when the tones sound in sequences. The same as with music: it is relatively simple to distinct single notes (pitches), but when you hear a melody… «what?? what was it?!»
Thank you so much Andy. Watching you pronounced the syllables and how you move your lips, is really helping me mimick you. My friends say to me that I am learning so quickly. But I tell the it is because of teacher Andy's help

Summary: In two-tone pairs, stress the second syllable, unless it is the neutral tone, then stress the first syllable.

Does traditional and simplified Chinese have more differences Sir?
For pronunciation, no.
@@AskAndy then what are the major differences between them Sir?..
@@jeyshivanims2686 traditional characters are more complicated because they still contain all the components they've had/acquired through centuries.

thanks for important lesson. I heard that fourth tone +fourth tone, stress on second syllable, fourth tone pronounce as second tone. Is it wrong?
Sometimes like 慢慢 Man4man4 -> Man4man2 (slowly) but I didn't make them in the examples so as not to confuse you guys
