And since she mentioned Ateez, there's this recent performance where there is a dance break and the camera pan over the audience. We saw maybe 10% of the entire dance break. Fans are pissed! Thankfully KQ uploaded their dance practice video. I don't know what the production people are thinking since as far as I know camera angles and timing are all planned before hand.
They do that now and then, in episode 3 for team beat they really messed up a for one of the members. When ever he was singing the camera was late to show him.
Groove is giving BTOB feeling too. While Rhythm is a team that you know who will go hardcore in performance just like NCT/EXO cuz obviously their mentor is from NCT themselves haha. it's funny cuz Ten even said he wanted to join in the performance haha. he really loved it.
Team Rhythm dance cutely concept in Ep.7 (Roller Coaster) because in Ep.8 (Don't Hit the Brakes) they will show intense performance...this clearly shows how versatile they are and they can nail every song concept 😊❤❤❤
Team Rhythm has their own competition within the Rhythm Kingdom to get their positions. The previous episode shows how Shuiabo, Steven and Daisuke (I think) were not initially chosen for the 1st song. They had to fight their way to get into those units.
I think Chih En with his poker face expression is more suited for fiercer concept instead of the cutesy one. And Zen Zen could have pulled off that cutesy concept but his vocals in the later song is chef kiss as well.

Actually picking Rhythm's elite members to compete is understandable, cause if we will go back to Intercept round we know how much Rhythm suffer because of onsite voters. Yes they audition for the part but I'm sure TenYang also put their popularity into consideration so to avoid another 101 votes trauma the 5 starting lineup players are chosen. 😅
It's not the case , directors give opportunity to every player but directors don't sacrifice the whole just to give the player to perform even he can't pull off the a good performance actually shuaibo have no part in both unit but he did at final evaluation coz he did great and also Steven,daisuke, they only one part in every unit

They have been given their parts but also challenged by trainees who wish to steal their positions, so equal chances are given to all. What I meant is this is a survival show, there are no judges score here, your team survivability depends on your fanbase. That's why I said that TenYang also took their popularity into consideration because let's be real here, putting their popular members to compete gives them the shot for winning the first place.

Some of your comments inspired me to respond. 1) About Park Han "filling in the spaces": To me, he is performing the job of the main vocalist in a KPOP group. They not only do the killing parts but also backup parts, harmonies, and fancy ad libs. Meanwhile, He Jun Jin was the lead vocalist in Only U. His job was to hold the melody line. 2) About My My My being Kairi's song: They didn't exactly explain the line distribution in Ep. 7, but you will probably guess why when you see what happened to Cha Woongki. That's all I'll say. I don't want to spoil it for you. 3) About Chih En's improvement in expression: The directors told him to work on that. Great advice. I'm glad they finally gave him that note. 4) About the choice to cut to another camera when Steven should have been the focus: I've worked in live TV with multiple cameras. There could be many reasons they would do that beyond what I am going to mention. First, it's just common to do cutaway shots. Staying on one camera too long during a fast paced song like Roller Coaster could have felt stagnant, so they cut to others who are dancing. I also looked back at that particular instance. They may have made a mistake. Since JL's part was coming up next, they cut to him too early thinking that Steven was about to finish. When JL didn't sing, they cut back to Steven. Or they edited that shot of JL in later because maybe the camera did not keep up with Steven when he moved to another part of the stage, and they had to cover it up. Beat had all of its starting lineup perform both songs. They have two bench members, Li Zhiwei and Jin Zhiming, who did not perform. Rhythm had five members perform both songs; however, three members-Mac, Hiroto, and Eito-did not get to perform in either song. Lastly, Groove had two members perform both songs, with Joohyung (what I'm very sure of because it's being discussed why he wasn't able to perform both given how talented he is) being the only member who did not perform in both.
thank you for another video. @47:00 depends on the music show. Many of them have rehearsel for the camera work, for 1 shoot semi-live style*, other do multiple takes. In my experience working for tv. the company give them video guide lines too for shooting planing. but this episode was pre recorded and not live, where the photography D. and director may fumble the camera switch and feature focus. * = it's recorded and live edited as if it was live in generaly in 1 shoot (but may have re takes if the mistake, deadline and $ is worthy) to keep audience autenticity/ energy. but there still all the files keepted from multiple cameras angles and mics so it alouds to produce a more renifined edited version of the "live" version later. If they have the budget / will / deadline to re edited. Also if they saved all the data, that dosent look much the case for this show. unfortunaly in this shows tends to have this camera switch, sometimes look intentional others as mistake. It happen very noticible before in team rhytm from featured steve to jl when steven was still singing his part. -- ah I want them to debut 3 or 4 groups now it will be a pitty if we dont get to see more of the other teams. I like more groove's and beat's music then the probable winner R (from previous rankings, I didnt watched the ep yet) -- zenzen really add the vocal power that R need and Li Zhinuo dance power and the same type of charisma that goes well with jl and shiabo. to chose between the 2 groove units is too tought. this new beat group formation and line / spolight distribuiton is what they needed to do a few ep ago to get more wins. I hope that they still may get some win.

there’s actually five of them on rhythm who performed twice (zhang shauaibo, jl, daisuke, steven and chih en) on the spoiler of universe league the people who performed twice will be doubled their global points so imagine rhythm ranking on 2nd global ranking result revealed in dec. 27 the ranking was 1.Jl, 2.Woongki, 3.Steven 4.Park Han, 5.Shuaibo, 6. Chih En, 7. Juwon. 8. Daisuke, So in these rankings rhythm and beat already have advantages since they have a lot of people who perfomed twice, for team groove only park han and kenta performed twice so its an disadvantage for them😢. So overall i think the ranking for ep.8 will be 1.Rhythm, 2.Beat and 3.Groove

The camera man or the editor mess up the roller coaster performance. The practice of rhythm got better edits. Actually in the seven challenge , Beat and rhythm already identify their core members. Why Groove is still experimental stage who to put on their seven. So far Changsub got Kenta and Park Han as core members While on my mind Juwon is still in rhythm 😂

Sbs sabotage rhythm unit 1 in roller coaster, unlike the two group showing the full choreo, sbs tried to hid erhythm choreo by doing zoom in to everyone, even if they're not the one singing, so they can have excuse to eliminate rhythm and make groove first again 😢😢😢😢

I really love Groove only u and butterfly song...butterfly feels like universe ticket dreams of girl. A song that full of dream and hope.

team beat had the same lineup for both performances, they are 9 actually, the 2 on the bench were not chosen for the performances.
The camera work for the performances was so frustrating!
