Copacabana & Isla Del Sol 🇧🇴 Backpacking Bolivia Travel Vlog

  • My final stop in Bolivia is Copacabana! Situated still at a very high altitude (🙄lol) on Lake Titicaca. I stayed at Hostal Florencia and met Harry and Tori and together we took a boat to Isla Del Sol and hiked over 10km across the island, visiting the ruins along the way. It was a fantastic day out but challenging with the altitude!

    ABOUT ME🙋🏻‍♀️
I'm Christianne, a solo traveller, vlogger and entrepeneur from Surrey, UK. I spend half my time exploring new places around the globe with my backpack, and the other half creating videos about my experiences, what I'm packing, solo travel advice, money budgeting tips and anything else in relation to my backpacking lifestyle.

    FAQ's
How do you afford to travel? - I now earn a full time living through creating these UA-cam videos, affiliate links, selling digital products and my clothing line. I used to simply just work any temporary job I could find to save up to travel! I budget the money I earn meticulously to reach my savings goals using www.backpackin...
Is travelling solo safe? - I would argue the answer is almost always yes! As long as you use your common sense and you follow your own government's guidelines about travelling in that country. I have made several videos on backpacking safety on my channel.
Do you have plans to settle down? Yes, I'm currently saving to purchase my first property in the UK and I'd love to have children one day. I doubt I'll ever live a completely 'conventional' lifestyle by society's standards though, as I often have my own preferred way of doing things.

I did that exact trip 25 years ago when in Isla del Sol there were not even electricity yet and the only place to stay was a “hostel” that in fact was the home of a very kind family! Everything is so changed now, except for the beauty of the Titicaca! Thanks for sharing your journey !❤

So much fun seeing this video! I did the same trip in early 2021 when I didn’t see a single foreign tourist in Copacabana nor Isla del Sol. It was MAGIC. I actually spent 6 weeks in Copacabana and 3 days hanging with locals on Isla del Sol. So special to travel alone. Happy you got to catch a glimpse. I loved Bolivia so much that I actually stayed and still haven’t left 😋

Breathless Banana ! gorgeous skies...and those ruins definitely made me envious. smart move not to allow yourself to get completely distracted from your planned direction. perfect attitude : the salt flats will still be there for part of another trip. thanks for sharing the experience and highlighting all those costs (which can add up !).

Definitely planning to get to Salar de Uyuni in September when we get down that way. Copacabana looks cool. Good luck catching your breathe. Cheers to your travels and channel. We are just getting started.

What a fantastic little trek. So that was lake titcaca! It's fun to spell, but even more fun to say! Lol I had to look up the elevation. Highest large lake in the world at 12,500 feet. No wonder you're out of breath!

It was pretty good for you to choose not going to Uyuni on this trip, because the salt flats are near Chile and my country is veeery big. you should do both on a 2 month trip finishing on patagonia or torres del paine in the future! 🤩
