Hello Sir I see you have some older videos on this but is this the most up to date video you have for setting up the frame gen mod? This is my first time setting up the frame gen mod for MSFS so I want to make sure I go off of the right video. Thanks!
Thanks @IslandSimPilot - I got it to work great! I have an MSI Raider w/ Intel i7-10750H and RTX 2070 8GB (115W TDP) graphics. I was getting 55-60 FPS approaching downtown San Francisco from the bay bridge in the Bell 407 Helicopter at 1080P with everything on ultra or high. When landing in the north of the peninsula at the Marina (to the west of Fort Mason, with a view of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge) I was getting 37-40 FPS. Now with the frame gen mod, I'm getting 90-95 FPS approaching the downtown and getting 70-75 FPS on the ground overlooking the most demanding parts of the scenery! This is awesome! For anyone with a steam install, there is no "content" folder so you have to move the .DLL files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator

@IslandSimpilot Hey JFYI, the Losless Scaling has been updated today to LSFG 2.2 ! Can you please do an update video about the significant changes? The smoothness with the new verison is incredible now, especially the cursor is now rendered to the targeted FPS! Also the FRAMEGEN arftifacts are heavily reduced!!! Thank you!
oddly enough I see no difference using Losless, it appears to be working but does not seem to help at all, if i turn it off the performance is the same
Thank you for explaining the upgrade! 🥰 One question: What about the DLSS Tweaks for the Nvidia "E"-Preset? I installed (from your former video) the DLSSTweaks (with the .reg change and the nvngx.dll file) , the TweaksConfig Tool (for enabling the "E" preset) and the Tweaks-version of the FrameGenMod (0.90). Should I remove all these files and replace them with just the two new files (and forget abot the "E"-preset from Nvidias Developerversion)? Or is it okay to just overwrite the 2 dll's with the new ones and keep the tweaks as they are? 🤔
Hey! I would have been in the same boat but my sim died and I had to reinstall everything, and before I got around to doing the DLSS Tweaks thing this new version came out. I would follow the update process in the video, remove those two files and insert the new ones, and you should be good to go.
@@IslandSimPilot I can confirm: It worked the simple way😃: I just downloaded the "DLSSTweaks Edition" of the FrameGen Mod (listed 2nd on the 'files' page) and exchanged just the two dll files in my sim folder that were already there from the former installation. No changes needed in the sim, everything works nice from start - and looks better in some aspects as you said already. The frequencies of the nav/comm radios are a lot better readable when tuning, that's a big benefit. At the moment I'm in the PMDG 737 and it looks better than the previous mod version. 👌(and with the actual Nvidia driver, too)
Am I right to assume that DLSS Tweaks is now a dead duck as, from what I can see, it doesn't support the latest DLSS versions? Also, it is still not clear to me whether or not I should be using the FrameGen mod together with Lossless Scaling. I love your videos but worry that some of these mods may not work with latest updates and earlier recommendations.
Hey Ron, excellent question, I’ll be posting an update for everyone this morning, there’s a new DLSS file and I’ll go through it all. Shouldn’t be too complicated.
Well, I have an RTX 3050ti and a 12th Generation i5-12500H cpu and my image quality is kinda poor on high-end settings. I have been searching around to try and resolve this issue and get an image quality of your scale. I can really use some help!
@IslandSimPilot Great video again. I need to ask something... At one point in the video you said that RTX 4XXX card users do not need to do this. That part confused me. Do I have to make this update if my RTX card is 4XXX series. Because its native frame gen???
Sorry, I should have been more clear and stated it at the beginning of the video: you don't need the mod because you have native frame gen. Next time I will be more conscientious about that. There is a new update to the DLSS file, but not yet for the DLSSG file, which is the one you need for the 40-series. When it comes out I'll let you guys know.
No problem @IslandSimpilot . Your contributions to this community are very valuable. But it would be useful to clarify this issue, which cards need only dlss updates and which cards need dlss together with frame gen updates.
Are all these driver updates, frame generation settings etc going to be necessary in FS2024. I am running a 3060 , have not cleared a cache in months, only updated DLSS with the swapper, and haven’t had a stutter or crash. Im reluctant to make any changes. Maybe I am just lucky 😊
Indeed, if things are good, leave it alone. I am using a RTX 4070 - Ryzen 5800X3D with the native in game frame generation in TAA with a constant 60 FPS (locked at half refresh rate) and all is running fine and smooth.
Hey m8 .can i replace only 2 ddls file; because I run the last version of dlls. Or i must do all the procedure and disable Nvidia signature and run it agen ;
I think Nukem9 said something, I can't find it where it was, but he said that 3.1 wasn't implemented with this update yet because 3.1 wasn't available to the public. Maybe I understood it wrong.
Cant help but notice you had the universal version of 0.9 but you added the non universal version with this new version. Thats why you had to run the reg file. There is a universal for 0.100 like you had.

4090 user here. Because you have a 40 series, you don’t need the frame gen mod to make frame gen work. But you do need to do the following… Enable dx 12 in sim and close the sim. Before rebooting sim, enable hags mode as OP described in first comment of this video. Enable game mode in windows Also, not required but highly recommended, go into nvidia control panel and set your gpu power management to “prefer max performance” found in “manage 3d settings”. Reboot computer. Open sim. Go into sim settings and turn on frame gen. Try TAA antialiasing first. You can try DLSS antialiasing if your performance isn’t stutter-free.
