It's closed in 1924 when it became part of the Northern Line. Before that it's part of City and South London Railway which means tube tunnels diameter is smaller to that we know. When it became part of Northern Line extended the size of tunnels so they look the same. They closed City Road in 1924, and then do those works in 1926, Northern Line became as one, the City Road station, never reopened.

What impresses me about London Underground is how dark and narrow the tunnel is. Does it have any emergency light in case of an evacuation? I couldn’t see any side platform in the tunnel. You can't normally, but if you contact TfL Film and Press Department they can help FOR A FEE, they don't let people film generally however you can film for legit reasons for a huge fee
I've watched a lot of underground cab ride videos and I've noticed on some of them some signs. They've got yellow chevrons on a black background and a yellow boarder. What do they mean please?

If Tube Drivers earn around £60,000 per year, why are do so many of them look like they are cleaners in a McDonald's toilet ? I'm talking about the general demeanor of the person. The way they carry themselves. Almost like they haven't washed. Surely people with £60,000 would look better than someone earning £15,000. I'm GENERALIZING here! And it does NOT relate to the driver of this train. But really, it relates to quite a lot of drivers i see. can anyone "in the know" please make a comment about this please. I've always been curious about it.
They work in a cab for hours a day, mostly in darkness. They aren't going to be turning up to work in a flashy suit, Rolex and a Louis Vuitton backpack. Be realistic.

at the time this was Filmed the Northern Line 1995 Stock lights were not overhauled I dont know when LU plans to do it to the 1995 stock
Yes you would be expected to leave the train from the front or the rear and WALK to the next station to evacuate in the DARK
Great cab view! Where I live, the subway tunnels are lit like daylight. I've never seen a subway tunnel pitch black.

Music_ Craver 60,000 in London isn’t a high wage. Outside of London, it’s considered a good wage.
Train drivers are not supposed to be posh and well groomed. To me well paid job, means nice house, holidays ect
