Yuta was pushed to the limit, and his true blood and potential as a sorcerer exploded. The fact as a child he mustered enough frantic energy to create a love curse as strong as Rika-chan is amazing. The pieces fall in line so well when his heritage is revealed, and explains the massive growth he's able to achieve, as well as what he was training himself with in the background for months.
It's unfortunate that many reactors seem to miss the prominent "squelch" sound effect right after the screen fades to black when Gojo is talking to Geto. Also, in the series, we only ever see Geto with a giant stitch-mark on his forehead. Gojo didn't just "let him go," he really tried to kill him. (I have read the manga btw. If you know, you know.)
Yes! I've been waiting for this! Time for some Yuuta greatness! Also, just for context. It's not really that 0 is a prequel to JJK, it's actually the other way around. 0 was published first and it was meant to be a short story with nothing going past what was shown in the movie. But the thing is, the four chapters making up 0 were so damn popular that the author was pretty much forced into making a whole series out of this concept. So, yeah. Yuuta is the og main JJK character. Maki the og "girl character", Inumaki the og "bro character" and of course Panda the og mascotte. While I do really enjoy JJK's main group, I will always have a huge soft spot for 0's. Their team is just so cool! Oh and Rika-chan was the og Sukuna, pretty much. Queen of the curses vs King of the curses.
So that's why there are a lot of similarities between Yuuta and Yuji. Personality wise, maybe not so much, but the circumstances that surround them, quite alike.
From what little info we get about Rika's past, she was *not kidding* about the last six years being her happiest. Which says a lot about her life up to the point she died.
I don't know if this is spoilers but from what I understand Rika is not the source of Yutaa's power but Yuuta created Rika from his own power. It's always been him and his inherent power.. he's special grade because he has access to unlimited cursed energy!
All i can say is that Gojo did not let Geto go, for now its a mystery how he is still alive in the show but you will learn eventually why he still around

This movie is a perfect segue to the next season because Yuta is gonna be a major character in the upcoming arc. Yuta and Gojo are distant cousins in a nutshell but what Gojo mentioned about Yuta's ancestor is important. After Gojo and Yuji, he's the next one to be OP as hell. Just wait, this is like just a glimpse of what Yuta can do.
Yuta isn't in the next arc though. He comes into the story after the Shibuya arc so it depends how much content they put into season 2 (considering it's supposed to run for 6 consecutive months!! :D)

I find it both increadibly badass and funny that in jujutsu kaisen they split Kakashi into two beings. One is Gojo, the teacher withpowerfull eyes, the other is Yuta the copy ninja with insane legend behind him. And the fact that Yuta is related to Gojo makes this whole thing even funnier.

"That's so good I want more" - that's what literally everyone was saying after that exact story was dropped as a one volume (one shot) manga in Shounen Jump back in the day. Because Volume 0 was so popular with only a few chapters, the author agreed to making it a story. Since Yuta's story was already told, they settled on writing a new story, with a new protagonist, set in the same universe with the OG cast being mere support around the new gang with Yuji at its center.

If you remember season 1 Inumaki's power scales with his enemies power, he couldn't make Nanami do things after he ran out of juice and she was able to resist it. It's why he's still grade 2!

What's interesting is that this story was the original introduction to the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was the original manga that didn't take off, then the author just used the same world for Jujutsu Kaisen and the manga took off. If you come to Tokyo, I recommend Roppongi, such as the Midtown building or near Roppongi Hills. Also check out Odaiba. Enoshima island in Kanagawa is also beautiful, and you should go up to the top where the lighthouse is. Yokohama city’s Minato Mirai at the bay is beautiful too. Notes for the movie - Without a doubt Gojo Satoru killed Geto Suguru, his best friend. He is now dead in the main series - Yuta, after Rika has been released, has been downgraded into a Grade 4 sorcerer. Hence as to why his white uniform has been changed into black. - At the end credits scene, we now see Yuta donning the white uniform again. So that might give you an idea on how strong Yita is. - End credits scene shows Gojo in Kenya, hence as to why Gojo wasn't present when the 1st years fought the cursed womb. That's when Yuji died in episode 5
this is a v minor detail but i love to mention it, after the events of this movie and yuta lost rika, he went from special grade level to grade 1 level and it took him only 3 months to regain his special grade status

I think that it was mentioned in the data book that the driver that killed Rika was the guy that Yuji and his friends were trying to save in the detention center but they found him dead instead.

Dude, that intro was so good. I don't even plan on watching the video because I still haven't seen the movie but had to watch the intro.
"That's so good I want more" - that's what literally everyone was saying after that exact story was dropped as a one volume (one shot) manga in Shounen Jump back in the day. Because Volume 0 was so popular with only a few chapters, the author agreed to making it a story. Since Yuta's story was already told, they settled on writing a new story, with a new protagonist, set in the same universe with the OG cast being mere support around the new gang with Yuji at its center.
This is why I love watching you guys just an unparalleled love and dedication to your craft amazing work on the intro absolutely killed it guys my favorite react channel executing my favorite outro perfectly
btw, cursed energy can be used to increase ones strength, durability, and speed. In case anyone hasn't caught on to this yet and it's also how yuta is so strong later considering he's just a kid.
Fun fact originally yuta was meant to be the protagonist of jjk but he decided to make yuji instead because yuta was already so strong from the beginning that it wouldn't have been very entertaining to see him just destroy everyone easily

This story was written as a miniseries called Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu High. It became such a big hit that the author got an order for an entire series and then decided to write JJK.

@@Apathina it’s never outright said but I don’t know many other girls in jjk that got hit by a car. Plus in the manga you can faintly see the Rikas blood smear on the picture of the incident (On page 163 of volume 2). So maybe it is not cannon but I like it

What's interesting is that this story was the original introduction to the Jujutsu Kaisen world. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was the original manga that didn't take off, then the author just used the same world for Jujutsu Kaisen and the manga took off. It's why this story is a perfectly good introduction to the world, because that's what it was, an intro to a story that didn't originally take off
Yuta is busy by the time of the anime show. The post credit scene takes place during that btw. Doing what, and for what reason will be talked about eventually

That being said, I can’t say for sure as I’ve never been to Kyoto in the winter. If you go to Tokyo, Yokohama, or Osaka, however, you’ll see a lot of Christmassy decorations. If you come to Tokyo, I recommend Roppongi, such as the Midtown building or near Roppongi Hills. Also check out Odaiba. Enoshima island in Kanagawa is also beautiful, and you should go up to the top where the lighthouse is. Yokohama city’s Minato Mirai at the bay is beautiful too.

Notes for the movie
- Without a doubt Gojo Satoru killed Geto Suguru, his best friend. He is now dead in the main series
- Yuta, after Rika has been released, has been downgraded into a Grade 4 sorcerer. Hence as to why his white uniform has been changed into black.
- At the end credits scene, we now see Yuta donning the white uniform again. So that might give you an idea on how strong Yita is.
- End credits scene shows Gojo in Kenya, hence as to why Gojo wasn't present when the 1st years fought the cursed womb. That's when Yuji died in episode 5
The intro is enjoyable. The main character guy completed his mission and now doing his friend's mission.
Gojo ended his besto friendo's life. Geto is a literal example of "Too dangerous to be alive"
this is a v minor detail but i love to mention it, after the events of this movie and yuta lost rika, he went from special grade level to grade 1 level and it took him only 3 months to regain his special grade status
