I'm an old sports and classic car nut. Your reviews are lively, informative and straight to the point. I love watching them. Not only that, but the Suzuki Swift Sport is a tremendous, agile little car that deserves more cudos... appreciated!

Jamie you are top notch. There is not a single person on UA-cam who is as calm and relaxed talking and driving around in really cool affordable Gti's and hot hatches from an Era when speed and petrol still was cool.

Suzuki swift sport my first car on 44k miles, complete bargain. Cheap Insurance, sporty and quite nippy. As a first car it's perfect as the parts are also cheap for this car. On top of that reliability is a plus for this. Had this for more than a year and had no problems. Tbh I this car is underrated, with it turbo charged it will be insane to drive.

Sweet review as per usual! Love how you review both cars which are relevant to the younger driver all the way through to heavily modified monsters. One of the best car related UA-cam channels I've come across. I don't normally comment but thought I would due top content you're banging out!

I've daily driven one of these for the past year now and I must say they are absolutely brilliant little cars. Mine has been to the track 4 times now, competed in motorkhana events (and won them) and has never once skipped a beat and let me tell you i trash her everywhere. Brilliant car thats very easy to work on and extremely practical (I use mine as a work horse). My only complaint is there needs to be a little bit more power, anything around the 150hp would be perfect for a car like these. If you are looking for a cheap and reliable first car I could not recommend these more

I love these Suzuki VVT engines. Of all the cars, I owned a Suzuki Wagon R with the 1.3 VVT 93bhp. You'd be surprised how well it pulled for what it was, definitely pulled well and was torquey most the way through the rev range.
As you can imagine, the japanese postman pat-mobile was hilarious through twisties as it was the complete wrong chassis for cheeky B-Roads, but my lord was good fun learning the, how shall I say, interesting handling characteristics :')

I purchased my 2009 Suzuki Swift Sports 27 Nov 2009. Head Gasket blown last Friday 7 Dec 2018 after 224,583km. I have changed radiator, clutch, serviced air conditioning regularly. Service regularly, can't remember when I did the timing belt, I think it was done twice. I am so upset that it did not last more than 9 years. Especially when I did not treat it badly and maintained it really well. Now I have limited funds and I desperately need another car. 9 years ago, my Yellow car was fantastic to put company stickers and logos on it. It helped my business, it was a moving billboard. for the first 4-5 years, I average over 35,000km per year. Some of it was easy freeway driving. Then I dropped off to about 24,000km per year.
Not sure how 2011 Swift Sports compares to my old 2009 model but I was happy with how simple my old car. Sold my car to a mechanic. I have no time nor skill to change the engine. It wouldn't be worth it for me, even if someone offered me discounted labour. I am so upset. What car should I get now???

In Germany, insurance is actually quite cheap, the only problem is the relatively high fuel consumption (on the Autobahn), but in countries with speed limits this is not really a problem either. On country roads, this car is a fun machine that you can push to the limits but still travel relatively safely.

I drove both. 2nd gen Yaris TS all the way.
Toyota's 1.8 Dual VVTi engine has awesome torque at any RPM. Way stronger than Suzuki's engine and it still can gets a crazy good mileage if you can resist yourself from accelerating. The suspension in the Swift Sport is hard as a rock even by sport suspension standards and it fucking sucks. Not only it beats you up, but it is so hard it's losing grip on bumps when you go hard. Yaris TS suspension is not soft at all, but it is just right and balanced. The only things that are slightly better in Swift Sport are the brakes and the shifter. Toyota's steering and all the pedals are very sensitive and super light, but you can get used to them fairly quickly. Another good thing about Yaris TS is that it's traction control kicks in fairly late and it does let you go fast on the limits of the grip, but it will help you recover if you lose it.
Get a 1.8 Yaris TS, upgrade brake pads and tires. You will have way more fun than in a 1.6 Swift Sport and you will have more comfort as well. Plus Yaris has a lot of tiny storage compartments all over the car which includes 3 glove boxes.

People with decent modified cars won't just throw them at someone to review. I wouldn't be throwning anyone the keys to my rs3 for example. Still a good channel for the younger driver to watch.
