Jamie you are top notch. There is not a single person on UA-cam who is as calm and relaxed talking and driving around in really cool affordable Gti's and hot hatches from an Era when speed and petrol still was cool.
Suzuki swift sport my first car on 44k miles, complete bargain. Cheap Insurance, sporty and quite nippy. As a first car it's perfect as the parts are also cheap for this car. On top of that reliability is a plus for this. Had this for more than a year and had no problems. Tbh I this car is underrated, with it turbo charged it will be insane to drive.
Sweet review as per usual! Love how you review both cars which are relevant to the younger driver all the way through to heavily modified monsters. One of the best car related UA-cam channels I've come across. I don't normally comment but thought I would due top content you're banging out!
I've daily driven one of these for the past year now and I must say they are absolutely brilliant little cars. Mine has been to the track 4 times now, competed in motorkhana events (and won them) and has never once skipped a beat and let me tell you i trash her everywhere. Brilliant car thats very easy to work on and extremely practical (I use mine as a work horse). My only complaint is there needs to be a little bit more power, anything around the 150hp would be perfect for a car like these. If you are looking for a cheap and reliable first car I could not recommend these more
cheap and reliable it is. id just wish there was more torque so i could gain speed faster without having to drive like im racing going through every gear just to keep up with regular traffic. under 3k revs it doesnt move. and mines already stage 1 140hp
I love these Suzuki VVT engines. Of all the cars, I owned a Suzuki Wagon R with the 1.3 VVT 93bhp. You'd be surprised how well it pulled for what it was, definitely pulled well and was torquey most the way through the rev range. As you can imagine, the japanese postman pat-mobile was hilarious through twisties as it was the complete wrong chassis for cheeky B-Roads, but my lord was good fun learning the, how shall I say, interesting handling characteristics :')
I got one aswell.. Also first car.. I dunno if the insurance prices might be different in Denmark.. but i pay 640 euro per year... Which is about 10-15 % more than if i bought basically any other small car (non sport) like a twingo or regular 1,3 swift
I purchased my 2009 Suzuki Swift Sports 27 Nov 2009. Head Gasket blown last Friday 7 Dec 2018 after 224,583km. I have changed radiator, clutch, serviced air conditioning regularly. Service regularly, can't remember when I did the timing belt, I think it was done twice. I am so upset that it did not last more than 9 years. Especially when I did not treat it badly and maintained it really well. Now I have limited funds and I desperately need another car. 9 years ago, my Yellow car was fantastic to put company stickers and logos on it. It helped my business, it was a moving billboard. for the first 4-5 years, I average over 35,000km per year. Some of it was easy freeway driving. Then I dropped off to about 24,000km per year. Not sure how 2011 Swift Sports compares to my old 2009 model but I was happy with how simple my old car. Sold my car to a mechanic. I have no time nor skill to change the engine. It wouldn't be worth it for me, even if someone offered me discounted labour. I am so upset. What car should I get now???
I am from Australia, so we pay much more for cars. Some of the brands/model written in the comments, I am not that familiar with. I need to get out more. I need to travel more. First I need money to buy a car!
