IN TODAY'S WORLD...LAW ABIDING CITIZENS NEED A VOICE IN THEIR DEFENSE! THE JUSTICE SYSTEM THAT HAS BEEN UBSTRUCTED AND CORRUPTED...NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS THOUGHT I'D LIVE TO SEE THIS! THANK YOU USCCA!!!
This gripping self-defense story by Dave McDermott is a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of life. It emphasizes the importance of being prepared and vigilant, underlining the need for responsible gun ownership. McDermott's experience reinforces the critical role the USCCA plays in supporting and empowering individuals facing such harrowing situations.
Dave , thank you for sharing your horrific experience . Thank you for your defense of fellow Americans and your skilled defense of our 2nd amendment rights .
You related this in such a personal and emotional way bringing the horror of it almost to life. I would love to hear you in a room of lawyers, speaking "legalese" ... thank you for what you do.
Having seen a few past interviews, articles written, and knowing his record, as a USCCA member, I've proactively chosen him as my council, should I ever need him.
Such an objective perspective. The best. Emotions are great, but sometimes they are simply a luxury you can't afford. Glad that ugly situation was ended 👍
Many people are in a lost world 🌎 thinking 💭 that couldn’t happen to me when it’s happening several times daily everywhere. Gun owners don’t really like carrying a gun everywhere but, you have no choice
Yeah you never really forget something like that And if you're called for jury duty on a self-defense case it's unfortunately very likely to lead to your disqualification in the Voir Dire
It would be nice to know the details of the case he defended, because there is massive concern that the USCCA member insurance only covers the most obviously justified self defense, and that if a case is at all messy they tell the person he's on his own.
That is not true. I would be happy to shed light on this for you. The self-defense liability insurance issued to and purchased by the USCCA does exclude criminal acts but let me explain further to show you what it means by this. Coverage ends with a conviction, as it is illegal for insurance companies to provide coverage for criminal acts. Policy coverage is triggered by any lawful act of self-defense. If a member is charged with a crime and self-defense is alleged as a defense to the charge, there will likely be coverage, unless an exclusion applies. The insurance company has obviously covered numerous claims in which the member was charged with a crime, but alleged self-defense as a defense. Check this video out as it explains further in regard to your question: ua-cam.com/video/Zn5hKjSlmwU/v-deo.html
Of course , I’ll have mine with me at all times. Back in the 60 I was threatened with a knife by a couple of juvenile punks, they attempted to cut me just to steal my car. Then in 70 I went too law-enforcement where I was shot at then in the 80s had an escape prisoner. Try to kill me with a car. Yes you better bet I’ll have mine.
Attention all members and people who are considering joining USCCA. Read the fine print very carefully!!!! If you have virtually any alcohol or legally prescribed drugs that have a use caution label you may not et represented by the USCCA legal team!
Where do you see that in the policy? There is not a drug or alcohol exclusion in the Self-Defense Liability Insurance Policy that USCCA Members have access to after a lawful act of self-defense.
@@repentandfollowjesuschrist6170 if you review the entire Self Defense Liability Insurance policy members get access to, nowhere will you find the words "drug" or "alcohol" or "substance". There is no exclusion related to drugs or alcohol. 😂I've been carrying for over 2 decades, every day out of the house. Got told "don't you need a permit for that?" Investigated legalize, by George he was right. Okay, got it, then proceeded for more training to be an instructor. Guess how many "prohibited" places I do what I do everyday... 😂I'm in my home and I'm carrying right now typing, about to head out to the pharmacy, almost 5 hours on body armed at this point.

You never know when you might need a firearm and under what conditions. This is the reason I carry a firearm daily.
same
Pants, pistol, boots then coffee. Don't bother me till I'm on my second cup 😂
You are absolutely correct. It stays with you and comes back with all the fear and rage you felt at the time - frequently, and without warning.
Dave is real deal and is a fighter and passionate !

If you are more than 3 seconds away from your firearm, you are unarmed. You are your own first responder. Stop gun violence. Outlaw HOODIES.
This dude looks very much like Giovanni Ribisi
