The Publix at the beginning of this video looks like it has similarities to the new one that opened 2 weeks ago in the Buckhead (Atlanta) that’s larger than most Walmart Supercenters.
I truly enjoy your videos. I’m a native Mobilian, living in Middle Tennessee. I don’t get down there that often anymore, but your videos give me an insight to how it’s changed (or not lol). And also takes me down memory lane. Especially West Mobile videos. Thanks!
Thank you, it’s a lot of fun, and I’m thankful having lived here my whole life that I can spout off this information from memory, L O L. Much more to come!
12:29 I used to have a childhood friend that lived in that house on the huge property with the white fence and pond. I always loved that barn style roof with the dormers. When I lived on Shiloh back in the mid 80s we had a horse wander into our neighbors garage. It may have come from your friend’s property on Cottage Hill.
There are a lot of sidewalks in this video, but true, not many trees. That is what happens when DR Horton comes in. They clear-cut everything, taking away one of the most attractive aspects of a beautiful neighborhood. All in the name of affordable housing.

He’s been there a long time, so it might have been!
I actually go to Causey and it’s such a great school.
Awesome, that is so great to hear!
That roof is Spanish tile roof. In Spain all homes have those roofs 😊
That’s it! I was racking my brain trying to think of that word! Thank you!
Where are the side walks? So many lots without trees. Looks very cookie cutter as well.
