Strength: Since both fullbacks are acting as CMs on the ball, you always have a free body against 3 man midfield, and even more dominance against 442 since it only got 2 CMs. The side CAMs on Shadow striker are basically free roaming LF & RF, I find them often offer the team width when the fullback is tucked in, so it's not like we are simply overloading the pitch centrally. Side CAMs and fullbacks will still offer width from time to time. Also, it's way easier to get players to play on the stronger foot on stronger side (e.g. Musiala as a right CAM and Rutter as a left CAM, meaning you can take way more trivela shots) The CDM dropping between the CBs when you're on the ball can protect the team from counters in the central area, the transition he makes from CB to CDM as soon as you lose the ball often means he's the one blocking any easy through balls, as well as delaying the counters. Weakness: This tactics requires your fullbacks to be decent on the ball in order to allow you to build up fluidly when they act as CMs, so it might be a little bit restrictive on which type of fullbacks you should use. CBs are require to be pacey (as meta as possible - u know how the game is), but especially when you're on double flaseback, this is because it takes a little bit of time for them to return to their default fullback position when you lose the ball, in other words, the wide space during counters are the most vulnerable area and hence I would strongly recommend to get pacey CBs to help cover those areas and delay the counters as much as possible. That's pretty much it for now I guess, already typed an essay lol
