House resident: OK see that floating rock over a hundred meters in the sky? I want you to build my house with half of it on that rock. Villagers building it: What? That's ridiculous. How will you enter or leave? Resident: Simple I won't.
1:12 I can easily answer how that happened: That villager isnt just any villager, he's a gangsta, he's the bouse, he's like the Snoop Dog of this village, and he wants everyone to know that he's got the bling, and he's better than others.
they not only told us the answer to the question but then instead of trying to stretch out the video went on to show us so many other cool things in it's place gotta say I respect that
In all fairness to the giant brick pyramid, there was no way to craft bricks in indev, so the pyramids were the only way you could acquire bricks in that version of the game.
11:58 Dude I figured out once upon a time how to consistently spawn monoliths in superflat worlds (Basically the world was both superflat and not superflat at the same time, back when superflat worlds were first introduced) I don't really remember how it worked (and I might even be remembering the process wrong because it's been years since they patched it), but if you set the world type to superflat, then named it, then set the world type to default, then renamed it, then set the world type to superflat, then renamed it, then set it to default again, and renamed it, then set it to superflat again, and renamed it, it would pretty consistently generate worlds like this, to the point where if it didn't work I was left confused for a few seconds. It was crazy
The Brick Pyramids in the early versions of Minecraft actually did have a significant purpose. Since brick wasn't obtainable through crafting at the time, they made Brick Pyramids spawn throughout the world, so the player would venture out to find them. That was the only way to obtain bricks at the time, and the reason they were so massive is so the player would have plenty.
One thing I'd like to add: Prior to 1.7, world generation for worlds used to be more like continents, so oceans actually used to be a lot bigger than mentioned in the video. I remember back in release 1.2 I'd constantly create worlds having to travel thousands and thousands of blocks just to get to a tree lol.
That was an amazing video! I usually don't like this type of content, the sort of 'countdown' stuff, so to speak, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one :) every part about it was so wonderfully done, from the introduction, the transitions, even the music. Great video man :) keep it up!!
