I have seen some of the staunchest of these make it through Demolisher... through all the bands... but as soon as Spiritbox comes up, EVERYONE fails...
This was great Tank! This challenge actually introduced me to a lot of new bands that have become regulars on my playlists. I would recommend Loathe and Alpha Wolf, since you said you didn’t know their riffs. Both albums from 2020 were spectacular
I'm not really one for aggressive headbanging, and I don't even really like this kind of thrashy screaming metal music, but trying to listen to these songs completely passively without nodding or tapping to the beat was physically hard. I had to consciously focus on not moving while watching this. But I managed to do it! I feel your pain.
The physical discomfort was visible. I wasn't trying to avoid headbanging but I definitely got going on a lot of them. This was a fun watch. Well done to the creator of the video too.
The only reason why I can get through this is because of Marine Corps boot camp. In 08 my Senior Drill Instructor gave us a "treat" for doing good in a competition. So we got to sit down and listen to his war stories while Death Magnetic played in the background (which just came out while we were in boot camp). As a metal head and Metallica being the band that got me into metal in my early teens having to sit criss cross, upright and perfect and no moving while songs like "All Nightmare Long" played was stupid fucking difficult. It was only my fear of my Senior DI that kept me from losing it.
All those expressions and yes I can imagine it is painful to stop yourself from moving. I cannot NOT move when I hear music, even if I dislike it. So I had to curl myself around a drink to be able to just watch this. Also the all headbang breakout at the end was just... PERFECT!
I lost at Landmvrks 😂😂 I can’t disrespect them like that. That whole ABR, Polaris, Landmvrks combo is fucked up. Throw in Crystal Lake and The Ghost Inside and it’s like why bro.
DUDE I've always wondered why you haven't done a reaction to the new Polaris album yet. I always figured "Yeah he's obviously heard it already" but then I saw that you didn't know Hypermania yet...YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DO LANDMINE!
Tank I just wanted to say i was pretty much just trying to keep pace with you playing along and have to thank you for the much needed break on demolisher lol
i believe you tank, because it is taking all of my will power to not headbang/tap my hands or feet. i may not headbang like you, but i do nod my head as the song plays, but man is it difficult to restrain myself. I passed, did not headbang or tap to any of them, but goddamn that was the most difficult do not headbang i have ever seen.
I saw slight nodding starting from LANDMVRKS until you lost it to STP. Shout out to Silent Planet! But you can still do stank face right?! Also you sure had a lot of fun editing this one.
It amazes me how were all different yet at the mere hint of a beat we all feel something, have this animalistic urge to just MOVE. Shout out to the video creator for the new spotify ads
Since you didn't know some of these riffs i would have loved that you make reactions to the songs before hand. There were bands that are insanely good in this video. May i recommend some song of them? Here is the list. Fit For a King - The Price of Agony. While She Sleeps - Anti-Social. Polaris - Hypermania, which is the one in the video is fucking insane but since you already hear it in here, maybe you could try Crooked Path or Lucid. Erra - Snowblood, same as the one before, maybe Dementia or Valhalla they are nice too. Make Them Suffer - Blood Moon, Widower. Silent Planet - Firstborn, The New Eternity. Great video as always Tank, hope you doin' well.
This was so funny and awesome Tank. I most definitely did not pass this one could never listen to good music and not headbang you are already better than me. 🤣🤣
Lol, dude, you've made my day with your Demolisher fail! Seriously, as soon as I thought: Wow, Demolisher - curious, how will he pass it. And the answer followed. :)
I've watched a lot of different Try Not To's, try not to sing, try not to dance, try not to laugh, try not to cringe. I'm good on those. WHY DAFUQ WAS THIS SO HARD?? I didnt know any of those riffs. I grew up in the numetal stuff. I found myself doing the same exact thing at the same exact time you were doing it. "Okay I'm good. Okay this is hard. Okay this physically hurts. AHHHHHH" proceeds to destroy everything I can get my hands on. "That was fun." You gotta do more of these!

Maybe you could do more interviews and cut them into multiple eps and show them on a specific day of the week or something. 100% true.

Haha the sly little headband movements 🤣
YOU FAILED AT AFTERMATH!!! LOL
he was gently nodding his head since Polaris xD
Lol was gonna say if tapping his foot was a fail he failed way before that
I caught that too lol I was hoping someone else did

This challenge seems significantly harder if you're a drummer.
I noticed that too 😆 I play some drums myself & im just so used to physically moving during music!
Haha yea absolutely
As a metal drummer... I can confirm. This is absolutely ridiculous. It's impossible for me to not tap my hands or feet...
