Thanks so much! Your explanation is so detailed, your voice is exciting to hear and your enthusiasm is contagious!!! Love your videos! I’m starting to knit the all in one piece coat!!! Thanks again!!!
Hi from South Africa. We are approaching winter and I would like to make these for family and friends. Thank you for sharing your pattern. How can I adjust the size to make it bigger or smaller.
I am new to machine knitting and have a standard needle machine. I have mastered socks. I would of loved to try this pattern. But owning different knitting machines is not an option. Any way you can write this pattern for other size machines? Thank you for the lesson on weaving in the color change. I always wondered about that and didn't like all the knots and weaving I had in my heels and toe color changes. 👍
If you have a standard, you can usually just change the original pattern from the 9mm to a 4.5. And vice versa- using this conversion. Of course it wouldn’t be exact- depending on your stitch size but it would give you a general idea. Changing Pattern gauge-Using a pattern for one machine, on a different one in a different gauge. Formula- If the pattern calls for a standard 4.5m machine and you want to change to a bulky machine (9m) I.e. Cast on 100 Sample -100 x 4.5m =450 to change to bulky, divide the total (450) by the new gauge machine 9m =50 Original stitches, multiplied by original gauge then that total is divided by the new gauge Another sample starting with the bulky machine to a standard Pattern calls for C/on 68 on the bulky 68 x 9m = 432, Then 432 *4.5 = 96 so new cast on is 96 for the standard from bulky Hope this helps with conversion of pattern from bulky to standard.

That's a great idea. I will see what I can do!

This is an interesting approach. You also need to take into consideration the yarn!
I’ve used this in other patterns like sweaters and even hats- and it generally is a pretty close measure. @@TwistedYarns
