Great video and congrats on your success. Shorts are getting really popular now. People don't have attention span for anything longer, so I am recently trying to create only expressive content (and after I post it, I use a lot of famester to make my shorts go viral immediately). This brings up a lot more organic views day after day.

For anyone wondering why it's so low. A $0.02 RPM is very low and rare. His short probably got the majority of views from countries like India. If your shorts are in english and you're targeting english speaking countries like USA, UK, Canada etc. you can expect an RPM of $0.08-0.18. I usually have around $0.12-0.17.
In short, shorts are definitely a good way to make a good amount of money, and views are much easier to get than long form.

My channel has an RPM of $0.12 so I would've made 6x what he did - his RPM is prob lower cuz the video got views from countries other then US and UK

800 for a single short is very good. Yes it takes time to get your money but its still decent. Shorts take much less time to make than normal videos so it makes sense that you get less
