@@DianeD862 OK Diane, I will explain, we joined the EEC in 1977 for the farmers to get the Common Agricultural Policy and get million upon million of Euros for doing nothing, the price Ireland paid was to be ruled by Europe who have destroyed the country. Now the farmer in his 80,000 euro tractor blocks the streets looking for more money because the EU money has run out. I have a message for you farmers.................the well is dry, you got your millions for doing nothing and now that your greed has known no bounds you better get a real job. Too many regulations. Being made scapegoats for climate and environmental issues. Little to no return for our produce. Wake up world. Unless you want to dye from thirst and starvation.

Gets to work from home and sits in his own living room Evey night .. try spend few months at see owning a boat see how long you last princess
So you get handed a huge asset free of tax .walk into a ready made business with all infrastructure in place. Work from home..have endless grants . Payments entitlements etc . Pay cheaper fuel and insurance .pay no commercial rates on you commercial sheds . Get to work from home never spending long periods away from your family. And you still complain... My god the entitlement is strong in you......guess what every small business had it very tough you are not the only ones. But unlike you lots of people have to start with nothing . No silver spoon from mommy and daddy no grants and have to travel to make a living away from there families .... Count yourself lucky . Imagine waking up one morning and all your land etc was gone you had nothing and you were told no lad go start a business with absolutely nothing......you wouldn't last 5 minutes
If the low prices are due to oversupply then Brexit ( 67 million people leaving the EU) will reduce demand further. Better to diversify land use and reduce supply and get a higher price for the product from the factories.
No, we in the UK want your produce, Brexit or not.... We trust the Irish farmers , their standards are high . We are leaving te EU, but we aren't turning our backs on you... We've been trading without a "border" for many years now, and there is no reason for that to change.

Increasing prices will make beef less competitive abroad, EU subsidies are not a long term solution neither, difficult solution, I wish the best to these brave farmers
The Garda or more specifically the customs should dip all the protesting farmers tractors and make sure it's not green diesel their using, as that's for non public road using vehicles. Hopefully it's not to long before the EU trade deal brings tasty cheaper Argentina beef to our supermarket shelves.
