This answered my question about directional/stereo hearing. I tried the old Walker's and immediately returned them because without stereo, you have zero situational awareness. I've been using Impact Sports because they have always been stereo, but I might give the Walker digitals a try.
👍🏻, I upgraded to some peltors but I keep these as a spare for friends or family. They are amazing with glasses or eye protection, the gel cups mold around the eye wear. It’s not as comfortable as the gel cups with the cutouts for them but it’s close. And wayyy better than standard cups.
@@sneakydingo1 which peltors? I'm currently trying to decide between walkers digital and peltor 300s. Do you have an opinion on why you like the peltors better?
@@PrinceNeverLazy Peltor comtac 3’s, I have a bunch of decade old Peltor work tunes that a buddy found in a shed and gave me a few. Same sound quality as new comtacts. Overall quality sounds like I don’t have them on and the situational awareness is like I don’t have them on. The walker digitals is like 95% of the peltors. For much less cost, and it comes with gel cups. I wear the comtacs spec if ally because it looks cool HAHAHA.
@@PrinceNeverLazy I am making a video on how to turn a pair of the walker's razors into a baofeng-capable comms headset. Just did some fiddling tonight and have all the circuitry figured out. I wanted the functionality of peltors without the cost of them.
Don't get me wrong I love myself some good Peletors or Howards, them being the og brands so to speak, but Wakers are a chef's kiss when it comes to hearing pro. My peletor set broke in a week, I've had my walkers for over two years. Howards don't fit my head correctly and for that matter, I've found that walkers tend to be higher quality.
I don’t hear any buzzing… depending on how loud, I’m wondering if it’s some sort of interference. Try going to different areas/places and try again? If not definitely something might be internally busted or tweaked. I would contact them for warranty if so…
The boomer in charge of Walker's/GSM marketing needs to be fired, they have the worst specs and descriptions, a lot copy pasted wrong info on their website
Thank you for clearing this up! I have been struggling to find out whether the digital version have stereo audio.
Yeah very confusing, if you have to coin, go straight to MSA Sordins or any of Peltors offerings
Thank you for this video. I just ordered the digital version because of your review.

I just got my digital xtrm and there’s a loud buzzing noise, is that normal? Sounds like static but I can still hear everything but with static
