Years later....I finally found out this was Kelsey Grammer AKA Frasier. My childhood has now changed for the better. You often hear about something ruined someones childhood, but in this case, it simply made it better.
Kelsey always gives his all in Bob's singing scenes. You never expect a VA to look at the scene they're in for a cartoon and go all out; that's usually reserved for anime. Kelsey does his singing in the Simpsons as if it's the performance of his career. He didn't have to, but with that much effort, it makes the character feel more real if that makes sense.

If anything can be credited with getting into Gilbert & Sullivan, it was this. As well as performing in several of their comic operettas I have seen all 13 of them: Trial by Jury, The Sorcerer, HMS Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, Patience, Iolanthe, Princess Ida, The Mikado, Ruddigore, The Yeomen of the Guard, The Gondoliers, Utopia Limited and The Grand Duke. Thank you Kelsey Grammer!!!😁😁😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Ever since I first saw this, I loved the increasingly good costumes and sets, but now as an adult I THINK the instrumentation is getting more elaborate too.
I gotta give Bart some props for pulling that title right off the top of his head. I certainly wouldn't have been able to just name any Gilbert & Sullivan operetta at age 10. Maybe Pirate of Penzance, but even that would've been a stretch. Then again, I was never stalked by a Gilbert & Sullivan-obsessed murderer at age 10, so I didn't have much incentive to learn.
I need a full version of this so badly, i’ve listened to a few different versions of the entire HMS Pinafore score but i haven’t liked any of them more than i like this
You have to admit that was brilliant on Barts part he timed it perfectly and without having to think that long about it either lmao Bart is low key a genius
When we saw this 30 seasons ago, never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined that there was an alternate timeline in which Lisa managed to wiggle herself away from her family and into the window to watch Sideshow Bob's performance....... which caused him to catch onto the ruse before he could sing the final note, and brutally murdered bart before the boat crashed. Which created a downward spiral that saw most of the simpsons family either dead or broken.
I saw that in my dreams before, Marge died of sorrow out of committing suicide, Homer died having choked on tennis ball during a sport play, Maggie worked as a prison security, and Lisa' split personality emerged as a serial killer killing many children and family members, lead her into Sideshow Bob's prison and killed him to avenge Bart's death, but this action had caused a deadly consequence to Lisa's foster boyfriend Graham Wallace who is ashamed for what he had done, he's the one who loved, tortured, raped and beating Lisa, she still loved him so much reminded of her brother, he 's the one who suggested her to study criminology that lead her becoming a serial killer herself, resulted him leaving the Simpsons and never return, eventually leading Graham to form New Ghost Shadows gang, which is famously known as Asian motorcycle, car and bus enthusiasts club, the club evolves over the course of a decade from a gathering place for local outsiders into a more sinister gang, leading to them using special cars and preserved bus to gain power and control.

Bart had the playbill, he knew it was about to end and he was seconds away from being in mortal peril again, but he's still just overcome with joy at the quality of the performance
I'd sell my soul for an actual recording of Sideshow Bob singing the whole thing.
Devil Flanders: “That can be arranged…”
@@lz8703 Ned Flanders? You're the Devil?
I agree, Sideshow Bob has a really outstanding voice in the Simpsons universe
wiiggum: bake him away toys
what did you say chief?
wiggum: Do what the boy says
+Yosei (Joseph) Izumi you know sometimes i wonder if the donut cop from The Amazing World of Gumball was inspire from Chief Wiggum because they're both idiots in their jobs
he said "take him away boys"

+TheTaff512 Yeah....
+Edd Jones It's a good thing you drifted by this brothel!

Bake him away toys!
Julian Herrera what did you say chief?
Today in 2023 there is an alternate scene where Sideshow Bob kills Bart in Treehouse of Horror 2023
I love how there's no explanation for how the costumes, sets, and music get more elaborate.
"It's a good thing you drifted by this brothel!"
Classic Wiggum.
Were they making arrests or enjoying the services?
Subtly best joke of the episode lol
@@freemantle85 the cops were all wearing robes and slippers so I’d say they were enjoying the services.
My favorite Side Show Bob moment will always be the scene where he reads "Man in the Iron Mask" to Krusty's live audience and they're so immersed in the reading that they actually get upset when Bob tells them "sorry Children we'll read another chapter next week."
At 01:29, I can't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside, seeing Bob with that big smile on his face!
I would LOVE to see a live perfomance of Mr. Grammer preforming all of these songs.
Can we just appreciate how great Kelsey Grammar's voice is?
Robert Terwilliger can sing beautifully.
1:22 Wait. You only asked me to sing so you could forestall your gruesome demise, didn't you?
Guilty as charged
1:14 that’s the right time stamp
AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😰
Another opportunity for Kelsey to show off his nice singing voice.
Bake him away, toys!
Do what the kid said.
Even if Barts plan didn't work, that would've been a pretty epic way for their rivalry to end
Did you see Treehouse Of Horror 2023?
It's great that the writers of a cartoon give their audience the credit to have seen Cape Fear and HMS Pinafore.
This hits different after the treehouse of horror
That episode shown what was supposed to happen, the outcome would be different and changed the series stories.
In the latest treehouse of horror, they revisit this moment.
Who here in 2023 after tree house of horror
me
Such a brilliant callback!
I was made a man of culture after seeing this as a lad and loving it still to this day.
Sometimes in a comedy, the most impactful thing an actor can choose to do is to play something completely straight. It really hits harder that way!
I love how Bart has a playbill with Sideshow Bob on it
😍🥰 I adore Kelsey's voice. Ugh. It's so dreamy and amazing.
I hope people think the same about my voice but I envy him!
So i woke up this morning and found myself singing the HMS pinafore sideshow bob style all damn day lol.. it happens sometimes lol.. especially that "an e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ennnnngg GLAASSSSHHHHH MANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN" lmao
I’d totally buy an album of Bob singing HMS Pinafore. 😂
Not just this scene but this entire episode was hilarious from Sideshow Bob's wipeout request on the radio to the Homer Thompson bit to Homer scaring bart with a chainsaw and hockey mask to of course this scene. Pure comedy gold. Couldn't stop laughing this entire episode. 😂😂😂
I can listen to Sideshow Bob sing all day. It's so intriguing and intoxicating. 😍😎💯😩👍😏
Me too.
Krusty did not deserve a man of such talent.
1993: Good ending
2023: Bad ending
"Treehouse of Horror XXXIV" brought me here.
Me too
👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo
This is the Simpsons we missed so much !!!
0:58 My favorite part of the Song
I love Kelsey Grammer's voice for Sideshow Bob. He plays the character really well and he is one of my favourite characters even though he wants to kill Bart. Kelsey Grammer also has an amazing voice I can listen to his singing voice on repeat all day.
He can go from absolutely psychotic to perfectly sweet in the same sentence. Brilliant.
@@hoilst265yes I agree it is brilliant
1:21 "Wait, did you only ask me to sing to forestall your gruesome end?"
“Guilty as charged!”
Lisa: AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
1:21 after the treehouse of horror segment about Bob killing Bart, this feels kinda weird
No matter what you think you cant hate the dedication of this man
The actor who plays Sideshow Bob truly does have a beautiful singing voice
It's Kelsey Grammer, A.K.A. Frasier Crane.

Treehouse of Horror XXXIV Brought me Here.
Ever since I first saw this, I loved the increasingly good costumes and sets, but now as an adult I THINK the instrumentation is getting more elaborate too.
0:59 that little echo when he stats here
I love that Bart presents Bob with flowers at the end. That gets me every time.
That WASN'T even Bart!! The hands are darker skinned, and Bart was still clapping by then!
It makes even less sense, I love it!
Bart and Bob look like they're having so much fun....
I love that even though Bob is there to kill Bart, he is still a gentleman and wishes to hear Bart's last request
Why does this always have to make my heart flutter?
I gotta give Bart some props for pulling that title right off the top of his head. I certainly wouldn't have been able to just name any Gilbert & Sullivan operetta at age 10. Maybe Pirate of Penzance, but even that would've been a stretch.
Then again, I was never stalked by a Gilbert & Sullivan-obsessed murderer at age 10, so I didn't have much incentive to learn.
No doubt about it, this is my all time favourite episode
That’s weird I could’ve sworn sideshow Bob kills bart in front of Lisa here.
Treehouse of Horror XXXIV. They revisit this episode as a flashback, but with an alternate outcome where Bob realizes he's been duped and kills Bart.
@@dominikdickey1876 I was just makin a joke referencin ToH 34. I’ve watched both episodes in question.

Kelsey Grammer achieves the perfect level of derision in his voice.
Season 5 and 6 is just full of my favorite episodes throughout this whole series and even the golden age.
Best sideshow bob episode ever
yess!
Yes the reason for the numerous jokes was because the episode ran too short
I love how the props and outfits get more elaborate as he goes on
I need a full version of this so badly, i’ve listened to a few different versions of the entire HMS Pinafore score but i haven’t liked any of them more than i like this
Hello Yakk. I finally understand why you love this dude so much, he slays 💯💯💯
@@ImTired17TWO WEEKS LATE BUT HI TIRED 🤑🤑 bob is so silly i love him
@@Yakkymania absolutely
Bob with the Union Jack background is still one of my favorite screencaps of all time
You have to admit that was brilliant on Barts part he timed it perfectly and without having to think that long about it either lmao Bart is low key a genius
@@christophernorris1491 It was identical but darker, with Homer present, knowing their son Bart was killed, one of the officer suggesting gave up ownership of Lisa and Maggie Simpsons to Graham Wallace Mallari, who secretly influence her to being a killer.
Just saw the re-run: "I shall send you to heaven, before I send you to hell" Outstanding :D
