My favourite Sideshow Bob line has to be "Well, if it isn't my arch nemesis, Bart Simpson. And his sister Lisa, to whom I'm fairly indifferent"
Even lisa?
Especially lisa and espECIALLY Baaaart
Ben Lawver forgot about this line 😂
"Tell them they'll live to regret this."
"YOU'LL LIVE TO REGRET THIS- oh, thanks a lot; now I look crazy."
oh cousin merle, REALLY
My favorite is UGGHH!
My favourite Sideshow Bob line? That groaning sound he makes whenever he gets hit with a rake.
I was hoping someone would say that.
That was 'cape feare' one of my fav simpsons / bob episodes
Yes 100%
My favourite is the entire score of the HMS Pinafore.
That should be the ring tone when somebody you don't like calls you on your mobe!
Favourite line has to be: "Convicted of a crime I didn't even commit. Hah! Attempted
murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel prize
for attempted chemistry? Do they?"
+Niall Donnellan yass best line ever
+Niall Donnellan No, but Obama won one for attempted peace-making.
+mugglesarecooltoo failed attempt. he now orders cowards to use drones to kill thousands of innocent people, but that's for another day.
+sellout87 I know right! That award was the biggest joke ever.
Republicans make everything worse. Just enjoy the interview you twats.
"Your guilty consciences may force you to vote Democratic, but secretly you yearn for a cold-hearted Republican who’ll cut taxes, brutalize criminals, and rule you like a king! You need me, Springfield!"
CharethCutestory One of his best quotes!
Arnold Rivas
"Airshow? Buzz-cut Alabamians spewing coloured smoke in their whiz-jets to the strains of "Rock you like a hurricane? What kind of country-fried rube is still impressed by that?"
Yep, especially "Wait, you're arresting me?! Ohhhhh right, the things I did...." :)
CharethCutestory laughing so hard at your user handle.
Aaaaand here we are. But who would have guessed you could have added “Send a plague” to that list?
I love Conan because he knows when to shut up and actually listen to his guests.
He knows because of the implication.
Absolutely.
Dennis Reynolds Yeah that's right something the ladies on The View need to take notes on.
jimmy fallon is the worst at shutting up
I notice that he tends to speak over women constantly, and rarely speaks over men. Strange.
"I shall send you to Heaven... before I send you to Hell!"
+barysan I love this line so much!
barysan "And now, the Final Cut"
By lucifer's beard!!!
WHACK! ehuuruh WHACK! ehuuruh WHACK! ehuuruh WHACK! ehuuruh WHACK! ehuuruh WHACK! ehuuruh
“And a 2 and a 3 and “WE SAIL THE OCEAN BLUUUUUUUUUE......”

ICantSplel Please..hover your mouse on the top right of your comment. Click the drop down arrow & edit.
Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez Nah, I'm just going to live with my mistake. One day at a time.
Pope Funktastic VI If they were inbred, they'd be horrible freaks with pink skin, no overbites and five fingers on each hand!
+Bryan514 My god, how horrifying.
"Well, if it isn't my arch-nemesis, Bart Simpson. And his sister, Lisa, to whom I'm fairly indifferent."
That one was my favorite.
yeah mine as well 😂😂😂
I love it when he sings:
"and then I go and spoil it all by doing something stupid like exploding you"
Boco Corwin No one who speaks German could be an evil man.
"Especially Bart. But especially Lisa!"
"Attempted murder", I mean what is that? Nobody ever got a Nobel prize for "attempted" chemistry!
'The deed is done. 24 years of trying to kill a 10 year old child have finally paid off.'
How do you try to kill a 10 year old for 24 years?
Um.... that's the part where you are supposed to laugh dude
@@teri6318 in the words of Rainier Wolfcastle, "that's the joke"
@@teri6318 Very thoroughly!
I was hoping somebody would mention that one so that I didn’t have to
For anyone who didn't know, Sideshow Bob's brother in the Simpsons', Cecil, is played by David Hyde Pierce. Sideshow Bob's father (who only appears in a single episode) is played by John Mahoney
OH MY GOD NO WONDER CECIL SOUNDED LIKE DRIX
My mom was watching Fraser one day recently, and finally I put 2 and 2 together about his brother Cecil. No wonder they already had such dynamic chemistry in the Brother from Another Series episode
@@roddydykes7053 Also note the sneaky reference in the episode where Bart jumps up onto Cecil and says "Guess who?", to which Cecil responds "Maris?".
@@chriskay1449 Never seen that episode but that's great!
@@RunstarHomerit’s great - it has Kelsey’s fave line in it: “Lisa, you don’t spend 10 years as a homocidal maniac without learning a thing or two about dynamite.”
Sideshow Bob is exactly what you'd imagine if Dr. Frasier Crane went nuts.
Or Frasier is what would happen if Sideshow Bob decided to stop attempting to kill Bart and moved to Seattle to become a radio therapist.
@@StevenEveral Haha true
His ss Bob role shows that some actors can be amazing if they're allowed to go ham on their roles. But unfortunately the majority of roles in live action shows demand actors to subdue their acting to human level. This is why ss Bob was so memorable for over 20 years but current generation already start forgetting about his Frazier role.
Cecil is Niles if he was nuts. lol
Or if Slim from A Bug’s Life and the Prospector from Toy Story 2 got their own show. Stinky & The Stick has a nice ring to it.
If I had a voice like that, I would never shut up
Bob: Madam, your children are no more… (pause, Marge gasps)
… than a pair of ill-bred troublemakers.
Homer: Lisa too?
Bob: Especially Lisa. But, ESPECIALLY Bart.
“Well I hope Bob fed ya, cuz I ate your dinner”
🥘
My favorite line hands down.
'Well, I can't be held responsible for my actions'.
After stepping on a rake:
Sideshow Bob: "Well, if it isn't my arch enemy --rake."
Bart: "I thought I was your arch enemy?"
Sideshow Bob: "I have a life outside you, you know."
Lol!
+Hassan Hussein The First line is "Rakes, my old arch enemy"
the rest is correct
+Hassan Hussein Dont forget streets, hot coffee and cactus fields! XD
Bloody brilliant !
+Hassan Hussein To think, that running gag wouldn't exist if they had not needed to pad that episode out to 22 minutes.
Not the Elephants!
"No. That's german for "The Bart, The"."
Benjamin Acheson Well no one who speaks German could be evil :)
Allen Booth its a reference to the show, What are you doing here actually if you didn't Even Get that
Why are you here, Allen?
haha awesome
Benjamin Acheson looool that one is the best
Best Sideshow Bob line ever:
"Homer, if I could write haikus while skinheads beat me with soap I can concentrate anywhere!"
Exophrine What episode is that from??😃
Exophrine omgg
it's the episode where Homer has a stalker who's trying to kill him, so they ask Sideshow Bob for help. he spends time in the Simpsons house with a electric taser strapped to his leg.
the episode is called "the great Louse Detective" (I think), it's probably one of the few episodes where it links from another episode few years prior
Hahaha, hadn’t heard that one! (Technically I still haven’t)
@@violetthebat8810the great louse detective
My favourite line is from the episode with Cecil in which Bob takes the kids to Marge for spying on him and Marge says "Even Lisa?" and Bob says "Especially Lisa. But ESPECIALLY Bart" I's just the delivery is so perfect. Ah, I love Sideshow Bob.
***** The entire episode is damn good. One of the golden age episodes to be sure.
It was actually Homer who said that and he said Lisa too?
+hyperdeath84 Yeah that's a good one.
Well, I hope Bob fed you because I ate your dinner
Favourite part from that episode is when Bart asks, "Throwing me off a dam, isn't that a bit crude for a criminal genius like you?" Cecil, "Oh perhaps it is, but if anyone asks, I'll lie." Lol
"Oh, I see. I have a plan and you can't foil it fast enough. But CECIL has a plan and it's 'hopeless, utterly utterly hopeless.'"
Guess who?
Maris?
THIS is the correct answer. Honorable mention (and I thought this might be his answer): Getting hit in the face with a rake. A lot.
Lmao i think this actually might be my favourite line. I even heard his voice reading this.
This is my favorite one.
"'Attempted murder'? Now honestly, what IS that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for ATTEMPTED chemistry, DO they?"
Good old Sideshow Bob. Hands down my favorite Simpsons character. He is one classy homicidal maniac.
necroing 5 month old comment, dont curr LOL. this was THE line that got me into The Simpsons. one of the best sideshow bob lines for sure
Jason Kim Actually, I think my favorite Sideshow Bob "line" is the sound he makes when he steps on a rake. I can't even attempt to spell it, but I'll try anyway: "....Nyurrghhhurgrhhurrghh."
A group of crows is called a murder. Two crows is called an attempted murder.
Hahaha! Well played. I tip my hat to you, sir.
What-If Machine
I learned that a group of crows is called a murder, from The Simpsons.
"Attempted murder," now honestly, did they ever give anyone a Nobel prize for "attempted chemistry?"
I'm not sure why, but somehow the way he says that line sounds SO much like Frasier to me!
"But you can't do this! I saved the children's lives! I'm a hero!"
"Tell them 'You'll live to regret this'."
"You'll live to regret this! Oh, thanks a lot, now I look crazy!"
Lol
I loved that line lol
"So, when do they bring us the menus?"
That whole episode was comedic gold
That was a good episode. It was even better that they got David Hyde Pierce to play Bob's brother Cecil, considering they already played brothers on a regular basis on "Frasier".
"Cecil please. No civilization in the history of mankind has ever called 'Chief Hydrological and Hydrodynamical Engineer' a calling."
"Ahem"
"Oh very well the Cappadocians"
Hello, Bart! He's just a little shy cause I tried to kill him so many times
I love that quote.
I also love Cecil's little "oh" 😂
Dammit, Bob! There were plenty of *new* bombs, but no! You had to go for that retro '50s charm.
Sideshow Bob's voice is one of the strongest voices on television!
+Blue Whovian except Marge she has the most annoing voice in the history
Conan wrote New Kid on the Block, Marge VS the Monorail, Homer Goes to College among others. He was there for the shows prime.
Bob smiff Well done.
"I call the big one Bitey!" is so Conan O'Brien!
Did Conan O'Brien write the part of the Klown Kollege episode where Homer stopped to look at the billboards, and the empty rolling parking lot truck stopped behind him, with all the cars behind it piling onto its racks?
BOSS was pulled way too soon.... loved that show
Finders keepers...
One of my favorite Sideshow Bob moments is his explanation of his "Die, Bart, Die" tattoo as being German for "The Bart, The."
No one who speaks German could be an evil man.
***** Rainier Wolfcastle: That's the joke
Beardog Rainier Wolfcastle: On closer inspection these are loafers.
Lol I know its random but that was really funny when he said that part. Do you remember what the complete joke was?
Simply Ecks "That is some outfit, Scoey. It makes you look like a homosexual." [audience boos] "Whoa, maybe you all are homosexuals!"
that's one of the things that makes early Simpsons so great... it's one of the most fun things to randomly quote.
You suck McBane!
I'd like to hear a conversation between Kelsey Grammer and Morgan Freeman. Those smooth smooth voices.
Add James Earl Jones and it’s a perfect trio.
I didn't know I wanted this trio before now
Moderated by Laurence Fishburne.
@@NavySharkz Narrated by -Lawrence Fishburne- discount Samuel L. Jackson.
"Ah kettlechips, the perfect sidedish, for revenge"
"You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! No truth-handler, you!! Bah, I deride your truth-handling abilities!"
Was looking for this one.
"AH! Sideshow Bob!!"
"Oh come now, we've been through so much together....just call me Bob."
"AH! Bob!"
Gets me every time.
Just doesn't have the same ring to it 😂
My favourite Sideshow Bob line (and one of my all-time favourite Simpsons lines in general) is definitely:
"Cecil, no civilization in history has ever considered chief Hydrological Engineer a calling."
(Cecil clears throat.)
"Yes, yes the Cappadocians, fine!"
Back when The Simpsons writers/producers respected their audience...*sighs*...
jemimallah "encyclopaedia at random"? It was clearly a well-thought out joke, on the topic at hand, The Simpsons writers stretching their intellectual muscles to fit with the Frasier parody of that scene.
The only "dumb people" here are you...
It's not nonsensical! Fuck it, you're a lost cause...
niriop ignore that troll.
+niriop I thought it was just referencing Frasier where the brothers discuss such obscure things bygone era so casually, lol.
“Oh yeah. Shake it, Madam. Capital knockers.” ~Sideshow Bob
Few people know what a genuinely good-hearted and people-loving person Kelsey is. One of my favorite actors.
Immensely talented actor. Quite possibly the greatest TV actor of all time
One time, Nancy Cartwright appeared on Cheers and her character met Frasier, and it was basically Bart and Sideshow unknowingly meeting for the first time, lol
+fruitofthejoot I nearly forgot about that. I miss watching cheers. Haven't seen an episode since the late 90's. Then again I haven't watched TV over ten years.
Wow! Now thats trivia!!!!
Favorite Sideshow Bob line: "Oh thanks a lot! Now I look crazy!!"
My favorite Sideshow Bob line is: "Ah the catwalk, the perfect vantage point... for revenge! Ah kettle chips, the perfect side dish... for revenge!"
What episode??
“Prepare to be Napoleon Blownapart.”
Emmet Edge Day of the Jackanapes
@@redmensch101 "Ugh...terrible"
"Oh hush up Leo"
Come to think of it, I think American Dad paid homage to that bit in their "revenge vegetables" episode. 🤔
Sideshow Bob = Evil Frasier
Confirmed when Bob's brother Cecil says "Maris?"
Not to mention the episode is called "Brother from another series"
....how do I get laid, again?
Joey Papan You seem pretty upset....
Jay Siddo I wouldn't say upset so much as the realization that you are staying the obvious and self inflection that I don't why I get laid considering my Simpsons joblessness
Knowledge. It was a self depreciating joke.
i was literally gonna post this
Joey Papan That depends. Do you want to get laid by David Hyde Pierce, or do you want to get laid by the actress who plays Maris?
"BY LUCIFER'S BEARD"
Chief Wiggum " umm yeah"
That's the best Sideshow Bob line
damn that voice has crazy history behind it
there's a couple of Simpsons DVD commentaries where Kelsey sits in and gives some of that background as well
cazia9 Damn really? Now I gotta go buy the complete series of The Simpsons because I want the DVD commentaries of all episodes! I'm such a big fan. Thanks for the info!
Just season 8 and season 17, although you probably know that by now.
"ESPECIALLY Lisa.... but ESPECIALLY Bart"
I can hear this 😂
Kelsey Grammer won an Emmy Award for the role of Sideshow Bob for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance - The Simpsons: The Italian Bob.
He should have gotten a academy award
@@hint0122 The Oscars voters have a better opinion than anybody else, and I trust them.
I've been in prison, Cecil. I'll be happy just as long as it doesn't taste like orange drink fermented under a radiator.
"That'll be the Latour, then."
LMAO. Such a savage burn.
Cousin Merle ain't quite right.
cousin merle aint been quite right
Geech done gone to heaven, Mr Terwilliger.
"Who's in my office? Cletus? Cousin Merle? Big Hungry Joe"?
Mine is "I hope they still make that shampoo I like." That and "And now, I am free to sing all the Gilbert and Sullivan I damn well please!" before breaking into "Behold the Lord High Executioner." Such inspired moments.
"I renew my objection to this pointless endeavor. Informally now and by affidavit later. Time permitting."
Shut your word hole. We got to get this place clean for the air show.
what a fucking class act. I love Kelsey so much
+MetallicOpeth.... Forcing one's wife to have an abortion under threat of divorce is in no way classy. You may want to evaluate your definition of classy.
My favorite line is short but sweet:
"Cecil: I forgot to mention, I'm planning to blow up the dam with you inside.
Sideshow Bob: Well, Obviously..!"
The delivery is perfect, a sort of disgusted grunt that his brother has to explain what is going to happen.
The Bart, The.
George McGillivray no one who speaks German could be an evil man!
"I shall send you to heaven, before I send you to hell!"
“Ah, fire! Scourge of Prometheus! Toaster of marshmallows! Eradicator of deadwood...” - Kelsey Grammer (as Sideshow Bob)
He is such a professional. He's incredibly great at what he does and despite his personal issues, he pulls through. I didn't even know he voiced Sideshow Bob.
I like all of Sideshow Bob's scenes c: He's my fave character, idk why. Probably because I like how smart and elegant he is while at the same time being completely crazy and messed up.
Sideshow Bob made want to watch Frasier. I watched every single episode and loved it. Kelsey Grammer is excellent.
Check out cheers, just as good
When he speaks deeply he sounds like Walter White
You take that back; Nobody sounds like Heisenbeg.
ghanem belgacem Walter wishes he could sound like Kelsey
This man is so good that nowadays only his episodes on the Simpsons (and maybe some Treehouse horror ones) are the ones worth watching.
Dr. Miles Manners DR.BEEEEEEEEEEES
My fav line of Sideshow Bob was "Attempted murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel prize for attempted chemistry? Do they?"
I love that character so much and Kelsey is the only person I know who can pull it off! :D
Sideshow Bob walking into all the rakes is my favorite
Cape Feare, undoubtedly one of the best Simpson episodes ever!
Ben Lewis i agree 100%
@@Ben-xl7ft - I've watched that episode like 13 times and still laugh every time, lol.
i was hoping he'd do the grunt he does when he steps on a rake
"Damn it Bob! There were plenty of brand new bombs but you had to go for that retro 50's charm!"
One of my favourites lol
Holy crap that story telling, sounds like my grandpa haha
Macade White I thought the same thing about my grandfather. He likes to swallow while telling stories too.
Macade White like hearing my mom talk
So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time...
his voice is magical
"Who does he think he is? Kelsey Grammer?"
"Oh Krusty, this is your Waterloo. Soon you'll be Napoleon ... BLOWNapart!" "eh, terrible."
Kelsey Grammer is just all around class, he found out through a mutal friend that i was sick (kidney issues) and sent me an email and a signed photo in the mail. Just super cool dude
He cheated and left his wife and kids for a flight attendant.
*I’m 100% sure Camille Grammer will disagree with you*

My all-time favorite actor discussing his best role ever! The first time I ever heard him sing Cole Porter's "Everytime We Say Goodbye" in Krusty Gets Busted, I honest to goodness got goosebumps! Love hearing him sing. :)
"Even Lisa?"
"ESPECIALLY Lisa. But ESPECIALLY Bart!"
The way he delivers his lines is masterful.
Doesn't that tattoo say Die Bart Die!!!! No that's German

Kelsey Grammer is a tremendous talent.
Sitting here consuming a tossed salad & scrambled egged eggs, I think I need to call in again.
I can't believe he got the inspiration for that voice from anyone other than Christopher Hitchens. He sounds so much like him.
Fun fact Kelsey grammer John Mahoney and David Hyde Pierce from Frasier played side show Bob his dad and his crazy brother
Still fun to watch in 2020. KG is a freaking thespian, dude has always had major league talent.
I think he's very underrated. He's fantastic at everything
He kills it singing HMS Pinafore. Unlike Bart, who he didn't.
Kelsey Grammer has a really nice singing voice. Guilty as charged. He's born the same day in February as my auntie which is the 21st. He played the piano well as Dr. Frasier Crane as seen in the episode "Cliff and Norm's Excellent Adventure" from Cheers. I really was impressed with his character's abilities to play sharps, flats and naturals on a keyboard instrument which appeared on retro sitcoms made for TV in the '80s. R.I.P. Sam Simon, we'll miss you and your useful producing for animated sitcoms everywhere.
Got to be the best guest voice on the show, along with the late great Phil Hartman
Him and Tom Hanks need to be in a movie together as brothers
Fun fact: Sideshow Bob's brother, Cecil, is voiced by David Hyde Pierce , who played Dr. Frasier Crane's brother, Niles on "Frasier".
For me, teh best quote is: "Oh, and one more thing: I've stolen a nuclear weapon. If you do not rid this city of television in two hours, I will detonate it. Farewell. By the way, I'm aware of the irony of appearing on TV in order to decry it, so don't bother pointing that out"
I always wondered why Side Show Bob was never included in the Simpsons Movie.
Mission failed, we'll get 'em next time.
My favorite quote: anytime he laughs maniacally
K. Grammer is so fascinating.
I truly admire his talents.
I hear a lot of Sideshow Bob at times when I'm watching Frasier. :D Huge Sideshow Bob/ Frasier fan here! 😁
Bob: Oh, you don't have to call me Mr. Warren anymore. You see, Bart, you were right all along. I am...SIDESHOW BOB!
