She probably justified the jerky because the vaults use bodies in compost most likely. She's not necessarily going to eat it herself- and I feel like she wouldn't have- but she does it to keep the peace and the guy was already dead (they are specifically non-religious in her vault- or they would have mentioned it).
I like to think that one of the reasons the ghoul didn't give her water was because he knew it was irradiated and thought he could get her to the sale before she needed it- and assumed they'd give her water/fluids. But he probably knew he was selling her for parts... but maybe he thought she could get out of it or be worth more whole? I want to think he'll get his humanity back I guess, lol. Though I think after this episode specifically, he takes a bit of a turn (even with the little things here or there so far). That song was right- he is a sad affair, and from Lucy's perspective she wanted to open his heart- but the song didn't hit that verse until he found his old movie.
I loved the speculation phase. The story is so open at this point! So fun to watch others go through it.
