Nobody's Fool Trailer - Directed by Evelyn Purcell and starring Eric Roberts, Jim Youngs, Stephen Tobolowsky, Charlie Barnett, J.J. Hardy. Cassie is lonely and depressed with a miserable job in a bar. Her boyfriend left her when she told him that she's pregnant. After several failed suicide attempts she'd given away her baby for adoption - and regrets it now. When a theater group from L.A. comes to the small town Buckeye, she meets stage technician Riley. Discreetly he starts wooing her... she likes him very much, but still has feelings for her former boyfriend Billy too.

One of the most underrated, sweetest and well acted movies I've ever seen. Roseann is great with Eric Roberts, excellent chemistry and plot and yet I can find it nowhere....ugh!

It’s 2022 and I recently stumbled upon a dvd of this movie. Love this movie!!
This movie was panned by the critics and really didn't do very well at the box office but I really enjoyed it. And the music was quite good IMHO.
I had one of my songs placed in this movie with Island Pictures and it played on the jukebox during a scene in a restaurant where Rosanne was serving drinks and food......You can hear it as she is running out of the restaurant after throwing her tray in the air and leaving her job. It's called " If I Were A Stronger Man" ( Stronger Man) and fits the male character with it's lyrics and the scene with it's up tempo groove. I have been receiving small royalty statements ever since.....and this movie was squashed soon after it was released (just 2 weeks) when they had placed 3.5 million into advertising it. It could have been a contender. I had met several weeks before with Rhino Publishing representatives who liked my songwriting enough that they asked to write music with me. It turns out that they also tried to cheat me after we shook hands on a fair publishing split agreement for they attempted to take all of my publishing . I had a great lawyer who placed a reversion clause into my contract with them and all of the publishing reverted back to me after one year. Always question people who greet you with a smile and a handshake.....most of the time they are questionable in business at best and lacking in ethics and character. True stuff!!

Why do I suddenly want to watch this
I have a copy on vhs but the second half is now unwatchable. Prescott, AZ has a special place in my heart & my mother said Cassie was like me & I love Eric Roberts. Everyone was so good & Roseanna Arquette was great.
