5:54 wow - blast from the past - haven’t used a phone box for decades - I agree, zero chance that works unless you have a spare handset and a soldering iron to attach it! 🤣
That foot crossing is soon to be closed. You mention that announcement - they’ve had lot of misuse there, so they are building the footbridge to replace this crossing as they get fast trains through there. There’s also a foot crossing at Bentley station too - no gates either which is interesting. That sign you asked about was indeed Network South East. One small observation- Farnborough isn’t Surrey, it’s just into Hampshire. The signs are actually the council’s responsibility- and they’re pretty useless! I used to live near there! From Farnborough Main there are also usually services to Portsmouth Harbour via Fareham but might have had engineering works the day you were there or something. Anyway good video!
@ yeah definitely - it gives the station a lot of character - it was one of two in the area which has been highlighted for closure and replacement with a bridge - the other is a short distance away at Frimley Green. Farnborough North is also in walking distance from Frimley on the Ascot line (it’s about the same distance as Farnborough Main but in the other direction)
3:29 You don’t need to explain - ok your reading was slightly slow but it was clear to understand what you were saying - far better to take your time rather than get muddled up! 🙂 Joke: Have you heard about the guy who discovered that he's both dyslexic and gay? He's still in daniel! 😂
That’s weird - they look like card receipts and not tickets or travel cards. People often leave day travel cards on ticket machines if they’ve finished travelling for the day so someone else can use the travel card for the rest of the day. (I know they’re technically not transferable but they don’t have a name on so I don’t see the problem.)
23:14 nice outro with the non-stopping train!
Thanks

Thank you very much, will be sad to see the foot crossing go!
