just a little bright, but really close! idk what you mix with, but when i used to mix with bassier headphones i would always add too much high end to compensate, and when i got to listen on other devices it sounded way too bright..
Awesome Van Halen playing! I have a blackstar id core v4 with a EVH BLK GLOSS CAN I GET THECSAME SOUND LIKE YOUR SOUND IS MABEY THANKS CHRIS FROM😊 AUSTRIA!😊😊
You know, there are many multiple ways to get close to Ed's tone. Personally, I think when you just tinker around with your own gear, you will find your own EVH tone! Just remember, Treble high, mids around mid and bass low.
It takes so long for me to do anything on UA-cam right now, and I don't know when I'll have time for a video like that, I have time to do a little cover or something but a full-length video about the tone may be on the channel a little later due to various personal reasons, so I'll just tell you quickly in this comment because there's not much really to talk about, it's a pretty simple process of recording. To get those sort of 1980s Van Halen tones I do this : In Reaper, -Two channels, the main one panned to the left, the second one - to the right. - I add EQ, setting called "Marshall" works the best for me because it beefs up the sound, makes it fuller. You can actually look what works the best with your amp or whatever you're recording with. That's what I use. - I add a little bit of reverb on the main channel, and significantly more to the second, right one, but I lower the volume on it, to make that EVH effect from the earlier times of their career. That's mostly it, there's not much to it, sometimes I tinker around to get tonewise closer for a certain song I'm covering, but mostly it is just that. I am using my Fender LT25 Mustang modeling amp for recording, and to get that Van Halen slapback delay thing, I use my tape echo pedal Electro-Harmonix Memory Toy - that I showed in one of my videos, you can check it out. I think that helped, if you've got any other questions, just let me know I'll respond for sure!
Sounds like the album to me!!

Fn!! Nicee bro
That sounds exactly like Eddie.
Update brown sound settings pls
I will update the brown sound settings, nothing really changed much mostly it was work in reaper.
Would this work for fair warning and other albums
I mean it would sound good I think, but it's not THE fair warning tone.
What is the eq settings for this tone?
I keep the low and low mid low, mid at... around 0 to 1, and high mid and high at 12. That's the 5 band eq of the amp
@@mw5150g ok thanks!
It'd be sick if you do a video about your mixing process
I've got some time now, I might do it real soon!
