A Fair Haven Alum and fan of the NHRR, Danbury has an incredible experience! The Locomotives and Rolling Stock speak volumes just by being there! It's Educational, entertaining, the Staff are able and willing to talk with you and one can mosey around leisurely while munching on Hot Dogs from the Cart out front (though unaffiliated). I now live about 2.5hrs from Danbury in NY and I go to the Museum every Summer. The folks here have done an amazing job acquiring and displaying fine examples of Railroading History in CT, especially the New Haven. There was once an RS-3 from Rutland Vermont, Green Mountain Express (that I rode behind in it's retirement years). The CT DOT runs a train that actually has a crew change in the Museum as it changes direction back toward New Haven! See this place; you won't be disappointed!

Bring back the NYC/MNRR MU's! More comfortable than the current port-o-sans on wheels!
I used to work for Sperry Rail Service on car SRS 125 I have many fond memories working for them.
