Andrew Yang's vision for the nation: Human Centered Capitalism, a totally new vision, $1000 a month is just one aspect of his vision, is to recognize human being has intrinsic value, value irrelevant one able or not able to work.

I find it very interesting that he was the guest on Bill Maher on the same night as Nancy Pelosi. She wants to win this election and Knows momentum when she sees it.
I'm an independent and after watching a couple interviews of Andrew Yang, I think he is right about UBI and how Ai and automation will effect our future. I'm gonna vote for Yang. UBI is inevitable as the economy transforms and human labor is not needed.
Depends on how you define labor. From my perspective, you have some work to do repairing your communities. That requires time and energy from people who I believe currently doesn't have time and energy because they have to work two jobs just to stay afloat. I would be a little worried about the Amazon example though. Because they're so big, they'll be getting large portions of those money and since they're already taking money out of the economy, you'll actually take more money out of the economy. I'm not sure you can compensate for that by increased growth.
@@jeschinstad $1000 a month means struggling folk won't need to push that second job, stay at home parents have their labor valued (it is currently valued at $0), and given that poor people spend what little money they earn - that $1000 gets pumped right back into local economies instead of piling up in Jeff Bezos' vault.
@@jakewright1932: Yes, I'm not a newbie to the concept of citizens wage. I've been interested in this subject for many years, and for many different reasons. He didn't invent it, you know. Personally, to be honest with you, I think it's a great way to save a failing economy, but I sense that it's only temporary. But maybe temporary is all you need right now; maybe you just need a break and a step in the right direction to inspire people. If that's the case, then he - Andrew Yang - is right. But I think that down the line, humanity and all of it, must be based on actual truth and not just ideology. I very much love evolution, not because it appeals to me, but because it seems to be the truth and I think that love and morality are both real things. But unlike Marianne Williamson, I think that maybe the only ideology we need, is truth, from which comes love and morality and all the other things we need. Maybe her quest for love was also just a temporary fix. I live in Norway and Russia is our neighbour. They beat homosexuals and sometimes stone them. But in my mind the question is always, what's more reasonable; that they beat someone because they've fallen in love or that we don't? The answer never comes from the heart, by my answer also doesn't come from the frontal lobe. I don't know where it comes from, but it does come from my brain. Imagine two women falling in love with you, one saying "Oh, Jake, I love you with all my heart!" and the other saying; "You know, Jake, my brain just loves everything about you". Which would you choose?
@@jeschinstad It's a difficult thing to introduce into politics - the concept of truth vs ideology, because every voter holds a different view of "truth" than the next, and each views other people's truths as mere ideology - nice to think about but doesn't work in the real world. Where one person's truth is rooted in religion and votes for moralistic ideals and the next person's truth is rooted in science and votes on practical ideals, how do we form a consensus on what is true? - especially now that trust in all forms of media has been eroded. A temporary fix can lead into new norms that become a more permanent fix (as far as anything can be permanent in an economy) that make the old system obsolete. A UBI won't solve the wealth gap or eliminate poverty - as some more idealistic think - but it will put more power into the hands of the individual, something that has been sorely missed in the modern age. As for the two women fallen in love with me, I cannot make a sincere decision based off their emotions but off mine - this is the dark side of truth, that the objective truth doesn't matter to my choice, only what I believe - my ideology. I think this is the problem behind every voter having the same amount of power which is also its beauty - we collectively decide what we treat as the truth, based off our ideologies. I doesn't matter to me if they say its from the heart or from the brain, both say the same thing just in different languages. Love is love, and I would choose who I loved back. This is also why I find religion vs science, or indeed religion vs religion, stupid. They are the same story told in different languages but people get hung up over the details.

@Valo B Bernie is a hero and a legend for what he's been fighting for his whole life. However, with straight up policy comparison, it's hard to say that Sanders comes out on top. Andrew Yang has a great grasp of the real issues facing America today and effective, modern solutions to combat them. I don't know that he'll ever outright support and endorse him, but, in a lot of ways, Yang is fighting for the same things as Sanders, just with policies that are more attuned to the state of the world and the direction it's heading. I love Bernie, but some of his ideas just aren't as feasible or effective for our world as it is. (E.g. minimum wage increase- bad for small businesses and encourages faster switches to automation, federal job guarantees- great heart behind the idea, but hard in application, and free college- does nothing to address the bloated university system((if anything, it encourages more unnecessary tuition raises)) and instead redistributes that insane financial burden around, and there are more examples, but this comment is long already) To summarize: If you are a fan of Bernie and his legacy, you should consider giving a fair shot to Andrew as the modern successor of Bernie's platform.
Honestly I haven't picked a candidate I like yet to vote for and the more I listen to Yang, the more I think I want to vote for him. He honestly sounds like he has solutions and that's what we really need.

The $1000 per month would help people out so much, especially those who find it hard to make ends meet even after working multiple jobs. He's working for the people already.
If a person is working multiple jobs and still can’t make ends meet, that means their employers are exploiting them. People shouldn’t need to turn to the government for supplemental money if they’re already working around full time hours. Their employers are making so much money off of them and should be forced to give them higher wages. We shouldn’t have to turn to the government to foot corporations’ bills for everything. I thought the best choice was Sanders until this video informed me that Yang stands for more than just the #FreedomDividend and also supports #MedicareForAll Now I’m officially ready to be jumped into the #YangGang
I've been a Yang supporter since mid-2018, and want to clarify -- Yang is for "Medicare for All" in the sense that he wants universal healthcare access through the Medicare program, but does not explicitly back Sanders' piece of legislation called "Medicare for All." They're two different paths to a similar end -- the Sanders plan is closer to the Canadian healthcare system, and Yang's proposals are closer to Australia's hybrid system that maintains a parallel private insurance and healthcare system, but anyone is able to opt into the public Medicare system instead at any time. That being said, Australia consistently ranks higher in terms of quality of care and satisfaction ratings than Canada's system does.
Ryan Rockwell thank you for clarifying! I think healthcare should be a basic right for every American, and I understand that many people may want to keep their private health insurance, so if Andrew Yang offers both options then I think his Medicare For All plan is even better than Sanders’ #Yang2020

@@donnmckee4973 actually he has talked about how it would pass in Congress because the UBI is a deeply American idea.
Please make sure you are properly registered in your state to be able to vote for him in the Primary! Thank you. ;)

(E.g. minimum wage increase- bad for small businesses and encourages faster switches to automation, federal job guarantees- great heart behind the idea, but hard in application, and free college- does nothing to address the bloated university system((if anything, it encourages more unnecessary tuition raises)) and instead redistributes that insane financial burden around, and there are more examples, but this comment is long already)

That leaves the guy who has promised all 300 million American citizens $1000 a month, sourced from Jeff Bezos' back pocket and couch cushions. How many people finding out about this guy are going to say 'no thanks, I'm good?' NO ONE, THAT'S WHO. Andrew is the only obvious choice if you want to both beat Trump and improve the lot of millions of people (and provide an example of humanistic capitalism for the globe). There is no other option. The networks have saved the best for last because they love an underdog, coming up from behind, longest of long shots (what the NYT called him almost a year ago) horse race - boring Biden ain't gonna sell click bait ads and prime time show ads. Follow the money means Andrew is going to be the nominee.

Andrew Yang is so interesting! I live in Switzerland and all people who don‘t have enough or any income get money to live, so nobody ends up on the streets. America has a huge Drug and Homeless crsis and I really think something like a secure check every month will help a lot of people not to get into such conditions.
CHIGGA It‘s not all perfect here eighter..
@@the_beast_and_the_sovereign yea, and a lot of people negotiated for the healthcare at work, Bernie's plan would fuck a lot of ppl over and be an administrative nightmare. Something as big as M4A should not be implemented full gongho. It's gotta be a process.
Bernie passed the Medicare for all bill and made it mainstream
How about Steyer?
This man can Make America Great Again by Making America Think Harder. Yang has my family's vote and mine. #YangForPresident2020
Have you actually read any of his policies on his website? They're pure fluff with no foundation or implementation plans. Every single one is "should", "would", or "could". No substance or any information that can stimulate you to "think" about anything.
M Abdelati please shut you mouth if you have nothing nice to say.
"Mr. Yang, what can you say about yourself to present yourself as a good candidate?"
"Well, my father is a physicist and my mother has a master's degree in mathematics. Growing up with parents like that, you can be sure I always had ready access to top notch math tutoring, and accordingly, I know my math which, if you ask me, after a president like Trump, is the sort of touch we could _really use_ in the White House. I've also pioneered several programs to help new companies get started and I was an entrepreneurial ambassador in President Obama's cabinet."
"Well, that's all well and good, but you're running for President of the country that elected Donald Trump. We tend not to appreciate intellectual gifts in a candidate."
"Well, I've also been known to curse like a sailor."
"You're in!"
I appreciate Andrew Yang more than the other candidates because he is working for a unified future for our country.
I'm not American but because of yang I'm so passionate about American politics, even watching the debates!
Aww!
Just be careful, and don’t get sucked in too far.
