Let me know how y’all felt about the painkiller pilot! Also, do you see yourself watching the show long term?
Also, here is the Kickstarter link for all interested in supporting Kugali media: www.kickstarter.com/projects/kugalimedia/kokou-african-mythological-horror-graphic-novel
Yes, I see myself watching the show in the long term
The Painkiller episode last week showed the extent of where the spin-off series can go, even if it is an inkling of it. Man, I am digging the Akashic Valley vibe and the struggle regarding the duality between Khalil Payne and Painkiller.
We knew it was going to be about duality, painkiller made a point by saying his creation wasn’t out of nowhere. They harness the darker parts of him and made it into a “program”
The fight scenes were amazing, but what blew me away is how the episode focused on a little bit of Japanese culture. The opening monologue of the episode along with the conversation that Khalil had with the Painkiller persona in the elevator scene... man that gave me chills.
I loved the fight scenes but I wasn’t too crazy about the entire show pretty much being CGI
I was shocked about Maya being O'Dell's daughter. Looks like Khalil and the Pierce family haven't truly escaped from his grip just yet. Hope he does make a return at some point in the future
I was shocked as well but it felt very much right at the same time
@@AlternativeFactuals Oh yes it did.
Looking forward to learning more about Khalil/Painkiller's group in the Painkiller series. Hopefully, the rematch between him and Gravedigger needs to happen at some point in that series.
I am interested to learn the route they are going to take with Khalil and painkiller
@@AlternativeFactuals Same, I have a feeling that it will be somewhat similar to Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Yes mcu winter soldier is a perfect comparison to cw painkiller which gets me thinking who would win in a fight between mcu winter soldier and cw painkiller ?
I am even more convinced the show will evolve into Painkiller and the Outsiders. I think the group will be fighting the remnants of the ASA and potentially Wayne Brady will return as an adversary. He is already connected to Anissa, Grace (who has gotten more fight scenes than BL) and now TJ. Plus Anissa did give Grace a copy of The Outsiders for her birthday.
Black Lighting is nothing without Painkiller at all. I'm just waiting for him to get revenge against Tobias Whales. This NEEDS too happen!!!!
We need to talk about the painkiller spin off you hold a bad news you're not doing it and pull and we need to talk about this soon possible I feel that was a fear
Quick issue my question
Think the reason painkiller didn’t get picked up because of all the cgi
Never heard of this character..
Brought the comics can't access them cause I have an android
We got a problem we need to talk about the painkill hospital they're not doing it and I won't answer I don't know why so please answer my question
The painkiller should have been static
So where we going to talk about the pain can't spin off it is not happening and we need to talk about this I think this is the same fear
