Hey I know I am a 1 year late but my dad deos this job he moves the trucks and it’s really cool how they undeck them. My father uses a crane to undeck them but u can use a roster to. I’ll post on my Instagram of what they look like before he undecks them and what they are gonna be. And I’ll show how to put in the axles and take off the saddle and how to take the truck off of the saddle
Hi guys I'm really enjoying your channel. I'm from Australia and we do things differently here due to our regulations. I really like the way you explain how and why you do things, rather than just showing the end result. Keep up the great content.
Y’all are good people!! Our company got many of gliders off you guys, my dad got a yellow 389 Pride and Class and he brought the engine from West Virginia
The builds finna be dope ,u already know i got my notis on waiting to see how the trucks turns out🔥,glad yall doing peterbilt builds they are my dream truck🙏
How come they use chains on the front drive axel ? U would think they could use straps and not scratch the axel paint. They make straps plenty strong to hold that axel up. Plus they are easier to store and tote around then chains are.
You can haul 4 trucks at once and they are saddle mounted I've done that before and the yard is in denton, texas .. it's active usa that haul these trucks to the dealerships
Hi need some solid information on this business specifically because I'm with an OTR van carrier in CA and we just bought 20 sleeper tractors that now need to be moved from SC to CA. I know nothing about this stuff because up until now we ordered just brand new trucks from Freightliner so they would always have them delivered. We did get a quote on transport from the dealer we purchased the 20 units from but it seemed high... VERY high so I'm searching anywhere I can for options and/or different ways to get this done because 20 x very high equals WAY TOO MUCH. I'd even use my own driver if someone else can take care of the decking/undecking. Basically anything besides paying what I believe is a ridiculous amount. I'd really appreciate any info you can give me. Thank you
Someone needs to learn how to use a clutch brake to put the transmission in gear. Made me cringe hearing that brand new truck crammed into gear like that
Dang, looks like the back tires on the 2nd and 3rd trucks have seen a curb. To me it messes with the look of the tire. Should be some great looking trucks once they're finished.
OK i got a question for ya,a friend just ordered a 2020 new truck, got the specs he wanted,THEN he put a no drive order on his truck,he wanted it just piggy backed,WELL it was the nicest prettiest one out of the three, the driver low life knucklehead, slept in the sleeper, got mud all the sleeper and drivers side,NOW my question is BRAND SPANKING NEW,the truck now has 1800 miles on it,he had no drive order on it,what would your dealership do now, just asking, answer this question then i will tell ya what happened,SPECIAL ORDERED A TRUCK WITH SPECS HE WANTED,WITH NO DRIVE ORDER,
Unfortunately dealerships do not have control over active transportation. This has happened to us a few times where we requested a truck not be the "mule" but still it showed up pulling two units. We really just have to handle those situations case by case.
Wish Ron Pratt was closer to you guys. Dude has a badass rotator and would prolly make a killer video with you guys doing this stuff. All remote control and everything
I'm not a fan of the position of the wrecker. There's plenty of room for him to be in such a bad position. I deliver deck sets for freightliner and PACCAR. If that was the only option that would be fine, but it seems like there are better options
puck slapper The problem is, I undeck trucks also and as close as he is if something breaks you could have two trucks demolished instead of one.......we use a rotator also or stick boom, just depends....
I have only done this for 30 years in March of this year it's worked so far with this same wrecker I knew someone could do it better. But I think I'll keep on doing it the same way. Don't matter how close it is to My wrecker if something goes wrong it's going to be a mess any way. Same truck for 30 years not 1/2 a million or more
Once the truck is one the ground and free of all the straps and chains, he is done. Our guys will finish the rest most of the time putting on the top stacks and doing the PDI. .
Instead of needing a rotator to unload the trucks you could use a bendpak portable column lift to un-deck the trucks. Not only that you could use the lift in the shop to work on trucks. www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/mobile-column-lifts/pcl-18b-4/
Good people that truly know the trucker lifestyle because they have LIVED it! I know first hand they appreciate trucking and truckers!
Thanks! Been in it a long time. But you already knew that 😉

After undecking the 2nd unless I'm hearing things it sounded like he jammed the Red truck into gear before pulling up. Maybe I was hearing things.
Glad to finally get to see how they get unloaded
I always wondered how you unstack those trucks. Cool video!

It's pretty cool to see how different companies have a few little differences on how they deck their trucks

Not gonna lie, I often wondered this myself. Your 100% right. Seems like straps would make the most sense.
straps would rub and cause more damage

So as the driver, do you pay for the tow truck? Or has been pre arranged?
It’s built into the price from the factory.
Do you need endorsement for decking semi's and what the name for decking semi??

Great video very informative.
Hello Scott how are you doing today
How do they stack the trucks like that in the beginning?
The driver should have pulled forward a couple inches and checked for release of the saddle from the axle!
Is it more difficult hauling tractors compared to tanker, or straight van?
It’s looks really nice had to be a lot of hard work. I would love to drive that peter mobile keep up the good work that’s cool man

Do they disconnect the rear drive shaft?
Very nice trucks i love the red one is that viper red? Keep them videos coming
Yep, Viper red with a viper red frame.
very practical solutions...
I love the videos.
Who strap and unstrap the riggs?
If they're airing the chassis up why cage the brakes? Oh well I'm not the one doing it lol
So in the event there was an air leak, or for some reason something caught a hole and drained the air, the brakes wouldn't lock up...
Pretty new trucks but the rotator looked older than dirt.
Hello rick how are you doing today
Interesting. You explained good. I assume that it’s not a problem for the transmission turning while hauling
The axles are pulled on the rear end so differential and transmission are not spinning
