Simple and quick video no ego or excessive talking, thank you!
perfect , thanks mate, was trying to work out the best way to get the socket in there to unbolt the 14's , this cleared it up. On the aussie hilux there is an exhaust bracket that goes in between one of the large open spaces , but once that bracket is removed its pretty much identical to the video. Thanks !
2001 3.4 Tacoma with 290k miles on the original starter, guess it is time to give this a whirl. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!
Love the video. Pretty straight forward. Was watching different videos and got annoyed watched yours and decided to attempt it myself!
Excellent.....concise and clear....one of the best videos I've seen! Thank you, sir!
Thank you for the help.
It wasn't my starter.
Not to hunt for a blown fuse somewhere.
Thanks for helping me find it, I've been looking on the driver's side near battery and alternator for an hour.
either that was easier than I thought, or you made it look easy .
Thanks for the vid, hope to knock mine out soon
Thank you so much FitItPhilip great video!

Hi Phillip, where are you based, that toyota has very little rust for a 2003 compared to everything on Eric O's at SMA? I'm enjoying the vids, thanks for taking the time to share :)
Kauai Hawaii, ya surprisingly this one wasnt as bad as allot of them here, some spots of the island are allot more wet year round so allot have much more rust than this one. Thank you for the great comment!
Great video.
Buen trabajo campeón regalame el biejito para repararlo y ponérselo al mio aquí son muy caros la verdad,, desde Honduras un saludo...
Tnks dude
Does this make the truck start up quicker when turning the key? My takes maybe 3-4 chokes before it catches…
Great job
I just replaced mine and its making a grinding sound for 2 seconds right after it turns over, any idea on what that might be?
Where were you when removing the two housing bolts? I can’t seem to be able to remove the two bolts. I have no leverage underneath nor from the wheel well.
It appears he is working from underneath the truck.
Under the truck, it’s a pita but it’s do a ble
Mine is the same truck but automatic.....it seems like you have a lot more room to take it out. I undid everything but I can't get it out between the frame and that bar underneath to pull it all the way out.
Can you squeeze it out from inside of the wheel well, above the frame?
@@FixItPhillip I tried doing that but to get the old one out, I had to remove the 2 10mm bolts and take the motor housing apart. I'm not sure yet how I'm going to be able to get the new one in without dismantling the brake line brackets or something.
@@phillthedrill1 did you figure it out, i am about to kill whoever designed the automatic tacoma
@@xuexxiong yes, I went through the passenger from wheel side. I bent the metal pipes (very carefully) to pull it out. It wasn't easy but I got it out. That's the best you can do is those metal pipes.
Undo the dipstick bolt and move it to the side and it’ll slide right out
How many arms do you have ? Appears on vid that you have 3!!
Haha just 2
