Saw it all, born in 1959 me and still rocking lol
Ditto.
I so wished I got time with this pedal, and no gearstreet vid is complete without a surprise Henning appearance 😆 this pedal really covers a lot of ground.
A full efx loop of gear in one lil pedal! 🤘🏽
This guy gets it!
Nice to see that the gnomes have been busy, great vid guys.
Yay! Rich and Colin! Throw in Leigh and you'll have my favourite trio 😀.
I was thrown off at first by the studio, then it became clear. Funny and entertaining presentation. Pedal seems a little complicated for gig use.
Already saw the vid by Bernd Kiltz (you probably met him), took the surprise a bit away, but I see Collin, I like. Only thing missing Imo is a mix dial for the Mod side. Guess my decision on what to get for my FX loop just got more complicated ...
Sounds awesome. Not a fan of chorus/flanger etc. in general, though. I'm currently looking at the Keeley Caverns.
You need to get your hands on a Rocktron Chameleon and a Peavey profex 2 they are rock bands from the 80s and 90s that will blow your mind
This would be good for studio work/ recording
Not something I'd want on my board for stage/live performances.
Maybe it was unfavourable conditions but the modulation side sounded bloody awful to me.
But the sound of the 80’s was the Boss CE-2 chorus, the MXR Flanger, a rack mounted Boss DD-200, and the Roland JC120 amp. I know, I was there. I spent $600 (in 1985 dollars!) on an Alexis XT rack mounted digital reverb unit that’s now worth about $30 in 2023 dollars. Sometimes you just don’t need a new piece of kit.
This pedal doesn’t really sound like the 1980’s. Not at all. Go and listen to the Thompson Twins or the Police for 80’s tones. They sound nothing like this thing. I think it’s a hard pass.

This channel used to be great and now it’s just ads lol
I realise not every video will be to your taste, but perhaps you'd prefer to watch my previous video from a few days ago - it's a restoration with no promotion or sponsors: ua-cam.com/video/knP7N5DYUOE/v-deo.html

@@ScienceofLoudAbout to take you up on both of those offers :)
So we have a boutique overpriced pedal trying to sound like Boss pedals.
Hum what should I do?
Maybe buy the real deal for less money.
This has 6 reverbs, 3 modulations, and 2 delays - If you were to purchase all of those effects separately it would cost several times more than the RRP of this pedal and take up significantly more space on your pedalboard.
Even simplifying that down to one of each type from Boss which retail for around £100 each, it would still be cheaper to purchase the Sidekick Jr than 3 Boss pedals.
What world are you living in? ~280 Euro isn't overpriced for a boutique pedal with that much functionality. Just 10 or 15 years ago, you had to pay 100ish Euros for one of those effects if you didn't want it to suck. Sure, these days you can get the latest copy by Nux or Mooer or whatever for a third of the price. But, personally, I do consider the ethics of the manufacturers when making a purchase.
@@mrcoatsworth429 My point was that pretty much any boutique pedal is just a boss clone.
This one is not expensive, but i bet that the circuit is pretty much what your gonna find on a Nux or Joyo pedal.
And i dont like the China comunist regime one bit,Im sure you buy stuff made in China.
Its pretty much everywhere.
You don't have a clue what you're talking about and need to sit down before you say any more stupid things.
The Nux and Mooer clones, although being very price competitive, tend to be very noisy. Harley Benton mini pedals have this issue as well it seems. This is fine for some effects if you where planning to use distortion and a gate anyways but quite often I'd advice spending more to at least get an OG Boss or similar.
