A theory that deserves attention! Dressed in a beautiful text, and well presented. Looking forward to the next video!
👏
Great
Interesting ideas... I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on art.
Great great response to Picasso’s art!!! I love how you focused on the openness, directness and playfulness of his work in relation to his understanding of art as “A lie that makes us realize truth”!! Too often people just too narrowly pay attention to his cubist paintings or to the changes in his artistic “style” without looking deeper. You on the other hand showed us the significance of Picasso’s way of reaching eternity!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for this insightful comment!
Thank you Boryana, I enjoyed the video very much. Please keep sharing your revelations with us.
Really liking these videos! I’m excited to have found them - so much catching up to do!
Thanks and enjoy!
Excellent analysis
Thank you!
¡Me ha encantado Boryana! Una gran teoría y una gran presentación.
Muchas gracias 😃! Mañana sale el siguiente - aún más divertido!!
Hmmmmm... I didn't know his style was inspired by african art... and it makes total sence... Thank you!
Very well done thank you.
Thank you too!
Loved it. The presenter - looking great! Presentation plus editing and extra voice artist :-) and content very informative and interesting.
Thanks Boryana
Yas!
I'm not an art person but this was a concise and classy video. Thank you!
Thank you!
The idea that a painting (or a mask) doesn't represent the thing, but is the thing is sacramental. An anthropologist, Gregopry Bateson (1904-1980) believed that metaphor is the way that nature communicates (a femur is a humerus, a human is an ape, etc. ad infinitum). Thanks for the new wrinkle!
Thank you!
i really like picassos ideas about primitive and the african period. i wanted to see more stuff like damoselles of Aivignon
Hi Boryana, Great presentation. The relationship with African masks is striking. All I can suggest is that, I think you should leave the art work on display a bit longer. I thought I recognized P's voice doing the quotations. Good that you got him resurrected.
Thank you, will do! Really appreciate feedback that helps us improve and yes, Philip has made his debut as a voice over artist🤭. He also does the editing, which is no small deal.
Interesting theory, backed up by first-hand evidence from the man himself!
one thing I don't understand. If the true image of a dog, has always 4 legs, 2 ears, 2 eyes, etc. Why do Picasso's women have 2 noses and 6 fingers? It was used as an example, that's why I'm asking
Soooooooooooooo ...
Art is about expressing truth
Rather than pleasing to the eye
At least according to Picasso :) I would say, art is about engaging the mind and telling something about our humanity.
