- Not a lot of the final setup was filmed, I was way behind getting this guitar finished and had a deadline to meet. I hope you enjoy what I did film...
This is a Custom hand built Telecaster style guitar I'm building with a Stephen's Extended Cutaway neck. I'm documenting the complete build with a video construction diary. Select HD 720P or 1080P and watch in full screen
That axe is an absolute doll! And having seen the expertness with which it was crafted is a rare privilege.
Y'know, I used to think that I'd like to try my hand at this kind of work, but now I KNOW I ain't gonna bother. This build is reminiscent to me of the first time I ever heard Brian May play and I wanted to lob my guitar off a cliff, curl up in a fetal position in my sock drawer, and die sucking my thumb.
Seriously, thanks so much for sharing this experience!
YOU SIR, ARE AN ABSOLUTE MASTER OF GUITAR BUILDING.
Greetings from Argentina.
Santi
What an Artisan & Master of his craft-I kid you not that's some of the most pleasurable viewing i've ever taken the time to watch!
Very welldone!

that was the most outstanding how to videos I've ever seen ..you are a master woodworker..impressive to say the least.
This is gorgeous. I watched your videos and got reminded of what immense work goes into a properly crafted guitar. Bravo.
Thanks Theo
Awesome build - thanks very much for uploading these very inspirational video's. I've watched your Strat and Tele builds and they are very informative. I am just about to undertake my own build of an EBMM Silhouette style and will be re-watching all these videos as I go for tips. Cheers from Toronto, Canada.
This should be required viewing for anyone who thinks that you charge too much to build them a truly one-off custom handcrafted guitar...it will give them some perspective.
That was amazing ! I just watched the whole process and wish I had all your equipment and knowledge. Thanks a lot for showing this, I’m pretty sure many youngsters may find a vocation watching this, as far as I’m concerned, I’m definitely thinking about doing this as a hobby. I’ll probably start with a guitar kit to get my hands on sth like this, but definitely interested into digging further into the whole thing
Fletcher you are a real magican! The quality of your work is amacing!I never seen something before!!!greatings from austria
Tom Moz Thank you Tom, I appreciate it !
I get all proud of myself when I refinish a guitar.
But this ....
I am in awe of your skill and craftsmanship.
Look forward to your next project if you decide to video it as well.
Back to pounding rocks.
Even though I do not own anything quite like this guitar, I have new respect for what few things I do have and for the work that went into them.
a top shelf example of if you're gonna do it, do it right. as a player i just want to pick it up and play it after watching the care that went into it's making.
Man, I have to say, the finished product is stunning and makes more sense than it did in the manufacturing phase. I was like, "What? A Tele with a N4 neck joint and hard tail?!" Great work. Now I need to take a break. These videos have been sensory overload. LOL
oh my god, man, i watched the entire process, from start to finish, you have got to tell me where you get all your raw parts from, i've always wanted to construct my own pickups, i can't believe all the tools you have as well!!! freaking insane, i wish i had all those tools so i could do the same, ha, but very nice color choice as well, very well done, so intricate and precise you are, this is diy to the extreme, i admire you so:o
Awesome David !!!!!!

Cheers mate & good luck , the EBMM Silhouette is a beautiful guitar, it should be a fun build.
That neck is really cool. What a creative way to get the neck bolts out of the way. Awesome job.
It's like a Washburn guitar
Dragonflywins Interesting. I've never played a Washburn.
absolutely beautiful, you certainly are a master craftsman I am truly envious.
Will do! The project I have planned out is a regular plain Tele made out Myrtle. Don't know if you've heard of the wood before but it's pretty hard to work with. It should turn out great. I will begin posting some of my work on my channel pretty soon once I get things going, stay in touch! And can't wait to see your next build. You do excellent work
Outstanding!!! Beautiful Stephens cutaway.
I really enjoyed watching your "savoir faire". Thanx a lot!
I will upload 3rd vid soon as Iv almost finished. Making the pickup bobbins presently and they are taking a bit longer than I hoped. Work is gonna tie me up for week or so and then hope to get it finished. Fingers crossed it should be in 2 weeks. Thanks for checking out the vids. Love the colour of your guitar, looks great!

May I say.....................that is probably the best hand crafted guitar that I've had the pleasure to watch, you and crimson guitars are in the same league, pity you are on the other side of the planet - how much was it?????

I play this occasionally to remind me what proper craftsmanship looks like.
Thanks very much Beachcomber, I'm glad you enjoyed watching the video's
Apostrophes are for the possessive case, so it's* "videos". It's on your videos too. Forgive me. :)
* except when the apostrophe represents a shortening of the word "is".
beachcomber2008
