Your knowledge and how you are able to explain everything is astounding. I got Ableton so I could play the aux and main keys at the same time while also managing a click and guide cues. Of all the resources out there, YOU have helped me more than anyone else. I've done your weeklong lessons and have been diving in your content here; you are a wealth of knowledge and I can't tell you just how much I appreciate what you do. On this lesson, I can't seem to get my MIDI clip to map to the previous locater in the way yours does; I seem to just be mapping to the previous locator in general, and not in association with the MIDI clip. What am I not understanding?

Your channel blows my mind. Almost 99% of all Ableton tutorials out there aim for studio production and you're bringing in the missing pieces. Thank you. I've been stressfully running my shows in session view for the last 6 years, thinking it's giving me more control, always having to calculate each bar when setting up launch triggers and never able to change anything before the show. Your tips helped me see why arrangment view is the probably the best way for me to work. Thank you so much.

Thank you SOOOO much for this! I thought we were going to be stuck pressing the previous locater button within the last measure of each section to repeat properly. Can be a little awkward when we don't have a dedicated "Ableton guy" and have to do it while playing an instrument. This helps SO much!

How do you do that same thing but to jump to other sections ? Example… last outro to end the song to Bridge again

Hey :) Thank you very much for all you videos. I was watching many of them but always I feel really tired while doing so. Therefore I‘d like to give you some constructive criticism today: I think I miss an informal information that just states the idea behind your following explaining. You just tell the issue you want to solve and proceed with the implementation of the solution. I think it would be very helpful to put a little idea preview in between.

This is so helpfull! However it seems to jump back two locators. Anything i forgot?

This series explaining the IAC driver has been great! I am using the stop trick from your last vid in all my song files now. For every small thing you need to do it's a multi-layered complex 'workaround' process and every little tip/technique helps! I'm a guitarist, and all I want to do is make a clip, to be played whenever I step on my foot pedal. (which is a sustain pedal connected to the keyboard controller.) I think your tip here can be midi routed to that rather than a keystroke. I would LOVE to figure out how to make not just one, but multiple segments that trigger each time you press. But in the case of 1 clip, I currently have this going now, but when I press the pedal, it's terribly out of sync - it's a different timing/delay glitch [I'm calling this a glitch] every time and I'm trying to iron this out. I don't need to explain this, but precise timing in a live performance is critical.

This works great for the key mapping but when trying to map it midi controller I’m running into an issue where the midi controller gets an IN AND OUT message at the same time and the track never turns on just stays greyed out. I’ve reviewed my settings and have enabled the controller to only be remote input but nonetheless I can’t get this mapping to work.
    Any ideas?

Hello, this is wonderfull, thank you to share your high level on Ableton.
I have a question about playing live, with Ableton, can you have a mix of tracks playing in both mode, like, 1 song in Session mode and the second one in arrange mode😩

My previous locator button doesn’t seem to be engaging when I try this. Any insight?

Ola! Obrigado

will the loops be affected if I transpose the entire project

  •  Рік тому

This is great, your content is amazing. One question, I use a footswitch to play each set, can I disable the loop or go to the next section with the same fw pedal? I have seen the twenty one pilots drummer do the same, he has the play control and deactivates the loop or goes through the section with the same pedal

    • @fromstudiotostage
      @fromstudiotostage  Рік тому +1

You'll need two separate MIDI commands for that function. As long as your pedal can send separate commands you can make it happen

    •  Рік тому

@@fromstudiotostage That is, from the spd sx would I have to change the "adjustment" of the "internal" MIDI note?

Oups, wrong key, sorry yes, one song you can jam with loops in session and second song in linear mode? Thx

Just put the loop parts in everything but keep it disabled when you only want to play the song linearly.
