Yes! I am happy to see that he is giving them an opportunity to show what they can do. Sometimes the walk-ons are better than some of the kids who are already on the team. I wish more coaches would see that.

You can find gems in walkon players!!!!! I remember I went to my cousins college basketball practice, open practice before the actual season. I was raw, the Coach was watching from his office and ran out like, "What the F is your name kid???".... I was on the roster at the start of the season!!!! That Coach was Dennis Rodman's college coach....
People underestimate the "NEED" for technical Offensive Linemen. Run blocking is one thing and pass blocking another; JSU wants both before the season ends.
Dang, I was running a 4.34 in college. Ugh, I remember those days.
If you were that fast, either you couldn't catch or tackle worth a damn because that is NFL speed.

No one spotlighted means most likely none were good. Drills the coaches should show them how to set up 40, shuttle and drills
I understand follow your dreams never give up but your not making it no where in football as a walk on a Jackson state. You skill an worth ethic would never allow that to happen

How in the hell Jackson state holding tryouts, every SWAC (south west athletic conference) school should welcome any person willing to waste their time to play for any all black school in any sport. Deion sanders would have never played for a all black school like Grambling or Jackson state when he was entering college, but now he's coaching at one!! Please! Total bullshit and everyone has fallen for it. SWAC or HBCUs sports is totally inferior when compared to major four year college football teams (SEC, Big TEN, ACC etc.) Yes, I'm speaking from personal experience unfortunately, worst decision I made in my life (Alabama state).
