We've been watching and sailing with you guys since the beginning. I have to say I'm a bit stoked to see you guys heading back south into the tropics. Can't wait for all the adventures to get going. Happy sailing
in my part of Alabama this morning it's 12° and iced in. So this video really made it all ok. Life is good when Sierra was petting and saying hello to all the underwater critters. Jettys smile says it all.
Billy and Sierra, I’ve been watching you two for so long I almost feel like your videos are from family out living the dream. I especially love your DIY videos and your “day-in-the-life-of..”segments. Travel safe.
So awesome to finally have this video to watch. Having you both back to where you belong and watching your wonderful adventures. Smiling every time the lines go in, knowing how it will eventually go but still hoping you get a fish. Thank you for sharing your lives here. Take care, be safe and cannot wait for the next video!
Keep a spinning rod or two on the boat, and if you ever run across a weed line, or heavy debris; throw a bucktail out, or another type of lure; then try to catch a Mahi... Side note, they "stick with each other" and if there is a school, leave one in the water and cast another rod and try and catch the others... Once you pull the first one out of the water, typically the others Exit!!!
so jealous! watching this episode in my office looking out my window in Virginia after 4 inches of snow last night. my sailboat is currently on the hard at Deale waiting for the 2024 sailing season to begin. enjoy yourselves in the warm weather!
Couldn’t be more stoked for you guys to be back in the Bahamas! So glad your ear cooperated. I had some ear issues a few years ago that kept me from free diving. Almost cried when I saw you at the bottom!
Enjoy the Bahamas! Good job on clearing out so many lionfish! Our plan was to get down to the Raggeds and Jumentos this year but my 97 year old dad has a stroke so I’m staying home to take care of him. So my husband will bring our trawler to Key West where I hope to be able to escape for a week to visit. The Bahamas will be there for us in the future but for now, it’s Long Island, NY and not Long Island, Bahamas.
When I was commercial fishing we plastic tubing attached to a water line and a sharped spoon on the other side to scrape the inside of the fish (salmon). Great for cleaning fish.
Thank you so much for fishing for and eating the Lionfish! Many people would not be bothered because of the spines. The underwater video was beautiful. Safe travels ❤
Congratulations on a great passage back to the Bahamas and first Tuna/sushi roll on the new boat! I bet you were glad you weren't on the trawler that was heading West Gulf Stream.
I remember the episode when Jetty jumped off the dinghy and her reaction when you found her. Our cat is named after our dog "Ele" because she loved going sailing and we miss her very much.
The map with the boat on the stick is awesome. Such a great visual! So great to see yall back in the Bahamas - been watching since you were there on Neverland!
Its about time guys. In my opinion, your Bahama videos were the best and yall were at your best there. And a big one, with so many open beaches, it is a Jetty heaven. Glad yall are back there.
Nice to see you out and about again. Look forward to your travels.. you've mentioned some things before, but how about a pros and cons episode.on the new boat after a month or two?
Live bait is your friend. Get a cast net(if it's legal) or some Sabiki rigs to catch bait. Fish the bait a few feet off the bottom while you're anchored or drifting. You're sure to catch plenty of snapper and grouper. Use the trash fish, like bonita, for chum. We're excited for you.
Billy, if that arm isn't stable enough on the cleaning station you might want to try just having a removable leg going down to the scoop that has a rubber pad on the bottom so that it sits on the scoop without being attached to anything. You only need to attach it to the bottom of the station.
also.....please wear a killcord, seen too many people going overboard even on short slow journeys to the beach then the boat either runs them over or runs up the beach!
Sierra, best way to defrost vacuum packed food is to leave it vacuum packed and place it in a pot of COLD water. Two boneless chicken beasts will defrost in about 45 minutes.
For your fishing… add a teaser(no hook), something biggish that rides about 50-60’ behind the boat, then your baited line at 75’ and another baited at 100’. I’ve also used a planer to lower the bait in the water.
Welcome back! Game changer for my husband for spear fishing and ear issues: JBL Hydro Seal Spearfishing Freediving Hydro Seal Aqua Plugs! He can hover sideways/unside down and ears don't fill! I'm getting ready to head to Eleuthera if you are going to be there in a couple weeks and could bring you a pair....
That was a great video you guys. I almost felt like I was there when you were changing the fuel filter out. Great great video. Thanks for bringing everybody along.
Hey you guys... has been a while... really like the new boat and the spear fishing vid is tops along with your towaway...! Fair Winds until next time...
So I just checked - Bahama water temp in Jan is currently averaging 23.3° C which is apparently 73.9° F. That's bath temperature lol. Looks like a blast, the best day for fishing doesn't always equate to the best day for catching.
Billy, I was thinking of a detachable stainless steel shoot for the fish cleaning station. That would redirect the waist of the fish to the water. Then when you're done. Just take a couple of pins out and it's removed. Just thinking out loud. 😁👍👍✌️
We're in the Bahamas! Woof, woof, woof. Nice catch, mom, and spearfishing lionfish. Don't miss Eleuthera. It's my favorite. I'm in love with blush pink sand. 🩷 Thanks for sharing.
Regarding the fillet table... It would be much better if you moved the support arm to the vertical part bast the bend. The issue is both the mounts currently share the same axis and over time it may twist. Keep up the great content and be safe.
As usual another amazing video. One question: One of the things that you ALWAYS did that I thought was so important for people to see that you did not in this video is put Jetty in a vest when sailing out of sight of land. I know this boat is different but if you ever had to abandon ship she would need that on and better to be a little uncomfortable for a few hours then caught in the water without it. Thanks again for awesome content.
Billy and Sierra, I can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years. Welcome back, welcome back,, welcome, back.
Let the fun begin!!!
Sierra has an amazing personality - she gladdens my old heart every time i hear her talk. If there’s lots like her then the world is not that bad !

Negative 12 where I'm at. Negative 25 with the windchill.
Had a big smile for the two of you through the whole episode. So cool that Billy's mom got to go along with you.
I'm glad you're back to these videos. It's been a long road for you guys.

It’s been 20 years since we cruised the Bahamas. This really brings us back. Sail-on!

In the Caribbean on a catamaran really is the dream. Best wishes!
I know how you feel about jumping off your boat and swimming in the beautiful Bahamian waters. We are in the Bahamas now, and doing exactly that!
Love that foot steering technique. Glad to see you back in the Bahamas. Best wishes to you all.

Fabulous!!!!!❤. Thank you for catching the lion fish. Trying to cull way up here in Bermuda, too…
Thank you for helping clean up (a few of the) lion fish! And for the public information about them.
Best thing I ever added to our motor was an external filter and separator. You're right it'll definitely save you all kinds of time and aggravation.
Welcome back! I remember stumbling across a video of two crazy young boaters in a trawler towing a whaler in the Bahamas. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Nice to see you out and about again. Look forward to your travels.. you've mentioned some things before, but how about a pros and cons episode.on the new boat after a month or two?
So cool to see you back in the Bahamas! We need to get back over....we're so close! Congratulations!
Happy New Year. Way to go Mom catching a fish. Been watching your channel for a very long time. So glad to see you back in your happy place. Have fun.

The Bahamas just got a little classier, the three Pirates return.
I am so exited for you guys...looking forward to your Bahamian Adventures⛵
Filleting station is awesome, great that Mother caught a Skip Jack, su
Sashimi looked awesome!

Happy new year to you both safe travels from a cold cold Edmonton Alberta -15 deg c at the moment. You travels cheer me to no end
So happy for you guys this has been along time coming, and it was awesome 😊
little tip from experience! loop those quick release pins with some warping twine or cable round the support bar, incase you drop them!!
also.....please wear a killcord, seen too many people going overboard even on short slow journeys to the beach then the boat either runs them over or runs up the beach!
I'm loving the boat picture on the stick graphics. 👍👍
Use pvc nipples and plugs on the water separator for the dinghy so you don’t have the problem with dissimilar metals issues.
Great job smokin those lionfish! Excited to see your adventures in your new boat
So awesome to see you back in your element. On a cool new home
Love you guys! you are the real deal!!! I love how Jetty just takes it all in. Awaiting your next adventure!
Thrilled for you guys! Very deserving of this life on your new beautiful boat.👏👏👏👏
Very happy for y'all! The cat on a stick for navigation is so fun! Keep doing that.
Sierra, best way to defrost vacuum packed food is to leave it vacuum packed and place it in a pot of COLD water. Two boneless chicken beasts will defrost in about 45 minutes.
Love the old school chart bit in the beginning. Classic 🙏
So happy you guys made it safely to the Bahamas👍😎👍
Can’t wait to see more videos of your adventures! Thanks for bringing us along!😘❤️
I'm sure someone mentioned it but they make those fuel filter mounts in stainless so you don't have those rust issues. Not terribly more either.
Looks delicious!! So happy to see you both enjoying what you love doing so much! Be safe always from the Philippines 💞💞
So happy for you guys, enjoy!😊
I’m so stinkin happy for you three!!! Much love!! ❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations!
Your dog is a good supervisor, by the way,
When you use the "boat on a stick" it makes me laugh every time. It reminds me of Wall-E when the captain is playing with his "little" ship....
Took a while, some detours, but you are right back where you belong. Very much looking forward to the next few months.
Ok mom you can't hang back your giving Billy memories so get the super shots etc..❤
Love. Your lives, and how you live it ! Lion fish delicious ceviche
We're in the Bahamas!
Woof, woof, woof.
Nice catch, mom, and spearfishing lionfish.

love your show--plus am from Maryland
That poor boat you met in the middle of the Gulf looked like he was going under!?! You guys were cooking!?! Crazy perplexment🤣
What a beautiful boat!
Thanks for sharing another fine video. Glad to see ya'll back sailing again.
Glad you made it. Its been about 5 years for me too. Hope to get on the water this summer.
I hope you make it all the way down to the ABC islands. You can get to Aruba and Granada for hurricane season.
Bahamas: nice spot.
Can't wait to see more videos
They make full stainless steel fuel filter mounts, they cost a bit more, but last a lot longer then those aluminum ones.
