    Thank you, Dr. Kristie for another informative video. I have read that using a treadmill in an inclined position is also good for knee joints. Do you think this is correct?

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  3 роки тому

      You’re welcome! Using the treadmill on an incline does activate the glutes more so this can be helpful. I have seen this cause discomfort so I always tell my patients to use caution and put the inline back down if there is pain.

    • @louTube920
      @louTube920 3 роки тому

      @@drkristieennis Thank you for your reply. It might be a coincidence, but since using it at a slight incline of three, there appears to be no pain in my lower back when I walk now. Not that I had severe pain, but there was more of a tired feeling there. But only time will tell :)

    Excellent video tutorial, very useful content delivered clearly. I didn't know I was actually doing one of these exercises while brushing my teeth every morning (or that it was called the fire hydrant 😜🤣😈). Thank you for making this super helpful video, Dr. 👊🏼✌🏼️

    Some good recent content addressing key issues that are likely to give us all some bother as we get older. I had no intention of getting old but it kinda crept up on me & took a toll for all the years I played sport...ouch!

    Excellent instruction. Are there some exercise for a buckling knee?

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  3 роки тому

      It certainly depends on what’s causing the buckling. Meniscus, arthritis, and ligament can all cause that symptom. Here are some videos for those:

    Hi Dr. Ennis. I've had knee issues for a few years now (legacy of my competition squash days I think) so many thanks, I'll give these a try. But would these exercises also help sciatica? Thanks

    • @drkristieennis
      @drkristieennis  3 роки тому

      You’re welcome! Typically (but not always)in sciatica, extension of the spine and trunk feels better than flexion. Glute strength can help but you just need to be cautious of spine position. Check out these videos too:
