HOW TO: Make a Mosaic PLANT POT with POLYMER CLAY! This is a great tutorial for beginners!

I love the mosaic look, and this was my chance to explore mosaics without using grout, which was effective, but wasn't as easy as this! So use white clay for the grout & all the mica powder stays put! perfect!

Baking Polymer Clay:
UK instructions for baking- it's all in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a finger nail in it or a finger print, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

Haha. I have no idea what the plant is, but it's pretty and lasts longer than flowers. Plants are the way to go! 🤣
