Nick Foles was ready to call it quits in 2016 after being released by the Rams. After sitting the bench with Kansas City in 2016 because Chiefs coach, Andy Reid, drafted him with Eagles in 2012, he returned to the Eagles again to sit the bench in 2017. When Carson Wentz tore his ACL, Foles took the Eagles to it's first Super Bowl victory in 2018. He beat Tom Brady and the Pats 41 - 33 and was named the game's MVP.

The greatest rags to riches story in the history of professional sports. And it couldn't happen to a more deserving individual. Kurt Warner is a great man and the model of perseverance, never giving up on his dreams.
Have a good friend who went to school with his kids. Everything I’ve heard says that the Warner family were very active in the community and very family oriented. I remember when I was a kid and he took the Cards to the Superbowl.
Still one of the greatest stories in NFL history and three times led his team to the Superbowl and could have easily won all three and been the mvp in all three ,and though it didn't turn out that way, he still did pretty damn great ,he got the freaking Cardinals to the Superbowl, that's monumental in its own right
As the late Don King used to say, " ONLY IN AMERICA" !!!!! Talk about a Cinderella, rags to riches story !!!!! Kurt Warner rose up from humble beginnings to a Super Bowl winning, Pro Football Hall of Fame NFL career !!!!!

What’s funny is that in the movie, it is said that he joined the packers for training camp. Mid practice he was called to take a few snaps in a scrimmage and he said no because he didn’t know the plays yet. He was later kicked off the team that day 😂. (Correct me if some of this is incorrect)
Yeah Mike Holmgren was an idiot! But it worked out for the best! Warner would have just been a third stringer behind, Rodgers and Favre. He would have faded into obscurity. Things happen for a reason.

Nice! My dad played with Kurt Warner at UNI. My dad was a kicker and Kurt sometimes was his holder. My dad also played Arena football and played against Kurt and the Barnstormers a few times!

The greenbay packers signed him but he was cut during the first week of training camp because he refused to get a rep in because he didn't know any of the plays. The rams was actually his second shot in the NFL. Other than that great explanation.
Mike Martz's offense made him a star. The Coach Martz's reliance on a pass happy offense became predictable, which led to Kurt getting injured. I never resented Marc Bulger for replacing him, but he wasn't Kurt. Kurt finally found a way to grip the ball properly again and found his way back to the Super Bowl. I just wonder if the mid career injury hadn't happened how much better his career could have been.
