I plan on watching and taking every class you have. That is my plan to stop living from paycheck to paycheck and to use whatever i can get my hands on to do what i love and want to do on your level, finding clients looking for spec commercials and not docu or wedding films. Ive got so much more brain power than that and i thank you for putting this content out! This is what ive been looking for!
Mind blowing phenomenal stuff going on on this channel thanks Steve for sharing from your wealth of knowledge and experience it takes someone with a great mindset to share their knowledge. We love you steve. 💖
Super video Steve I am upgrading my lights for my golf teaching bay I use 240 - 500 FPS and 6000 shutter speed can you recommend what lights I would need. Thank you
Nice one. I enjoyed the talk. I enjoy the fast stuff that Beyond the press in Finland do, they use Cronos cameras. And huge amounts of water cooled led lighting, Lauri was also talking a bit about about the workflow when he evaluated a newer version in monochrome. If one shoots monochrome the speeds can go up. I presume it's the data size that determines that, as the rgb component is not present.
Thanksfor the detailed video. But I have some questiins left: 1.) You didnt say how much light you needed to output in your setup. 2.) What lights you recommend not flickering? 3.) What framerates do you shoot your food stuff at most of the time?
smepable Mg 1. It all depends on the size of the set, f-stop, and quality (hard / soft) of light. Here I was using our custom led light at about 1000W shooting F. 2.8 2. Plasma lights, some LED’s, and well, we use our custom LEDs since we made them not to flicker and to be high power. 3. Between 120-1000 for most shots. Some just as 48-72 sometimes
Great video and explanation. I've watched all the others - did I miss somewhere in the LED videos how you are able to dim the LEDs without using PWM somewhere along the way? Do you just use an extremely high frequency PWM on the order of a few KHz? Or do you filter out the PWM which essentially reduces the current by reducing the voltage?
I just got into slow motion photography and I'm building some LED lights for it. Any recommendations to a good DC-DC boost converter that wont flicker? I ordered some to test but they have not gotten to me yet. I just happen to have a dozen or so 20ah 13v LIFe batteries laying around I want to use but the 100 watt LED chips like 32v at 3 amps CC so the boost converter is needed.
Jess Limot that is very technically challenging as liquid reflects and refracts whatever is behind it. You can try shooting against green or blue chromakey backgrounds or white or black depending on what the final background is going to be.
WOW Awesome. Now I understand why sometimes I've shoot comercials of more than 22 hours working nonstop, with 20Kw light sources for just film a fking coconut . How many watts is this LED? It seems so small and powefull , homemade? Great content, keep doing. Greetings from Mallorca, Spain.
Hey Steve. What do you think about the editing trick of duplicate the video, displace it 1 frame and reduce transparency 50% to eliminate flickering? Does it work with super high frame rates?
Damian Reyes that can help sometimes but can also cause some weird things to happen as well. It’s much better to just shoot without flicker especially if it’s for a client
Thank you Steve!! you are crazy CREATIVE
Steve, youre getting so good at being on camera! great stuff dude! huge inspiration!
Thank you for making this cool video !
Hey Steve, thanks for all the hard work you're putting into this project 👍

Super good explanation, thank you for your effort! It gets better every time! More of that!
Greetings from Germany:-)
Please do a tour of the studio and all the robots and machines :)))
When we move to our new studio Feb 1 we will do a very in-depth studio tour. Our current studio is a mess and very Garage-like

Thank you so much 😀
Got a little smarter for my slow mos :) thx And one more time saying hi lol ✌️
Cool!
Awesome
Shout outs from Nairobi, Kenya. I'd love to really train and be the go-to ads producer in Africa!!!!

can you give a hint on ligth for slowmotion 120fps? some good led not so pricy... cheers fron brazil
Hi Steve! Did you build that light yourself? Trying to find the light for my
High frame shoot
Great work! How does the iPhone do slowmo?
Excellent video. Thanks! How does the iPhone slowmo work?
Principles of light remain the same, just different workflow. iPhones can do as high as 240 fps
So what would you recommend for shooting slow motion with a phone camera
Good explanation, thanks 👌 That led is costume made? How many W's? Liquid for cooling?
Yes, this is one of our custom LED's. They are 1800W and liquid cooled
Wow Sooo small and so powerful 🤘 rock on 🖖
Hey Steve, why 938.8 fps and not 960.fps. What is the equation you use or is it a camera preset?
What LED light is that? Do you suggest getting two for 1,000 to 2,000 FPS video?
Insane.
AWESOME!!!!!!! INSANE!!!!! I LIKE IT!!!! 10000000000000000000 likes!!!!
Hi Steve. how do you shoot a pouring liquid and need to remove the background later?
Jess Limot that is very technically challenging as liquid reflects and refracts whatever is behind it. You can try shooting against green or blue chromakey backgrounds or white or black depending on what the final background is going to be.
@@TheGarageLearning thanks steve. very good suggestion
Hello Steve, what kind of light used in this experiment? where to get it?
WOW Awesome. Now I understand why sometimes I've shoot comercials of more than 22 hours working nonstop, with 20Kw light sources for just film a fking coconut .
How many watts is this LED? It seems so small and powefull , homemade?
Great content, keep doing. Greetings from Mallorca, Spain.
This is one of our custom liquid cooled 1800W LED's. Greetings!
Mind blowing! Or should I say “blinding!”
Can we use in odenary camera.

just wooow
Holy shit slow motion is much more complicated than people would think
YES!
haha Now i have 72 gbs of data after 4 sec of recording
Great content but gets kidda boring after every 5mins or so! Can you incorporate something to just make it more appealing?
