So amazing that how an animal protects itself from a foreign body is considered precious! Makes you think about scars a little differently. Choose to make something that has invaded your life into something beautiful.

I usually really enjoy the videos this channel uploads but holy crap, the sound effects are so annoying on this video! There was no need of 99% of them and they just end up being distracting.
Aside from that, this was really cool. I personally love pearls for their simplicity and how unique each one is. It would be pretty awesome if Eric brought along some corals next time.

Agreed!! Hit the nail on the head: nearly all (if not all) were unnecessary, & there’s a lot of ‘em, which made them an unwelcome, off putting distraction. Thankfully, to the best of my recollection, this isn’t much of an issue in other vids 😮‍💨

The last time I was in Newport, RI I was drawn to a display case of wampum jewelry made from quayhog shell. Also in the case was a signed turquoise and silver gorget. I took the turquoise jewelry, my being a native New Mexican.

    ✔Was wondering,
    Way back in the day
(70s) I use to have Pearl parties & I was told & shown to clean your Pearl's was to, "make a mudpie of Salt & Water & roll your pearl around in it." I still have many of those old Pearl's & they still have a healthy brilliance to them.

Would you unbox and talk about Rutile? I was wondering about the heaviness and the process necessary to make it useable in things like machinery and prosthetics. I'm writing a story and was wondering if it would be useable, purified or not, to make a light weight arm

I don’t really see an issue in buying mammoth ivory since it’s a long extinct animal anyways and as for elephant ivory, I don’t really see a problem as long as you buy form a verified and legal source since the ban on elephant ivory in the 90s has made it illegal anyways to stop the brutal killing of elephants.

I love pearls they have belly buttons like a kind of living pet could be and I have had many experiences learning about pearls and one day I was blessed with a real natural pearl necklace from a thrift store I always wear a tester pearl now to test for the gritty or the slick and u being smart know what the difference is .

I found a pretty big quahog pearl in my little neck clam the other day and can’t find a jeweler that thinks it’s worth anything. How can I get in touch with Eric to send him a pic and get his opinion. One jeweler told me clams don’t make pearls. Only oysters. I know this is not true. I need someone that knows what they’re talking about.
