Jon, congrats on your purchase, love the 81's also, and that is L. Hoyts rc, the W. Sox had 3 rookie pitchers in this issue Hoyt, Britt Burns & Rich Dotson. congrats again
man i miss wax packs. this was a fun set to rip when i was 10. looking back now it became one of my least favorite sets but i'm growing fond of it again. i always hated the cap in the corner, i'd much prefer an actual team logo, and if they used the retro topps logo on the right i think it would have helped the set tremendously.
Some great pulls on the Pete Rose, Tim Raines, rookie and Rickey Henderson, and others, no Nolan Ryan but still nice vintage box.
Great deal,as long as the seller is honest about the packs being searched theirs nothing wrong with selling them that way.

@@JonsSportsCards yes i realize that.I was talking in general.if a dealer discloses the fact that the packs have been searched and i feel the price is right then its ok.i used to buy searched packs to put together sets.sometimes there was rookies that they either didnt want or missed.i usually worked out for me.Thanks Jon
Jon, it is so cool to see you go through these cards that are basically pack fresh. Amazing they are in such good shape after 40 plus years. If you decide to unload any of the doubles or triples from this set please let me know. I am not chasing 80's sets just yet (except '86), but hope to at some point. These cards are just exceptional! The stick of gum used to be huge, lol! Congrats on picking these up. Great video!!
The cards were in top top shape. I have more vintage boxes on the way. A lot more. Stay tuned.
