We're about to embark on a tour of County Antrim, Northern Ireland's crown jewel, where dramatic cliffs meet ancient castles, and art thrives in unexpected places.
First stop: Belfast, a city buzzing with a creative spirit. Immerse yourself in the Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC), a vibrant hub for contemporary art exhibitions, live music, and theatre. Let your imagination soar amidst thought-provoking installations and discover the next rising star of the art scene.
Next up: Step back in time at the majestic Belfast Castle, perched atop Cave Hill. Explore its grand halls, learn about its fascinating history, and soak in the panoramic views of the city and beyond.
Now, the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where hexagonal basalt columns form a mythical stairway into the sea. Legend has it giants used these stones to step between Ireland and Scotland.
Cross the swaying Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, suspended 30 metres above the crashing waves. This exhilarating experience connects the mainland to a tiny island, rewarding you with breathtaking views.
Perched precariously on a cliff edge, the ruins of Dunluce Castle. Explore its crumbling towers, imagine life in medieval times, and marvel at the castle's dramatic location.
Raise a glass at the world-famous Bushmills Distillery. Learn the secrets of their smooth Irish whiskey, tour the historic buildings, and maybe even sample a dram or two.
Step into a fairytale: Get lost in the enchanting Antrim Castle Gardens, a hidden gem nestled in the Glens of Antrim. Wander through manicured lawns, discover hidden follies, and bask in the serenity of this beautiful oasis.
Craving adventure with a twist? Gear up for an unforgettable walk along the Gobbins, a cliff-face path with bridges, tunnels, and breathtaking coastal views. This thrilling experience, reminiscent of a Game of Thrones adventure, is not for the faint of heart, but the reward is worth every step.
This is just a taste of the magic that awaits in County Antrim! So, pack your bags, lace up your hiking boots, and get ready to create your own adventure. Don't forget to hit that subscribe button for more travel inspiration.

Sir Clotworthy is my blood ancestor, of which I have proof. How can I connect with a historical society and others who can also prove ancestry?

Hi there, I would recommend looking into if there are any history groups even online groups that are based in Antrim/Northern Ireland that you can share this information with. Great bit of family history to have! :)
