It is much more than fly fishing it is a place where all worries can disappear for a short while. This series is about why fishermen come to the river.
I agree with you about the environment that you fish in, but don't you need to consider the sovereign God who created it for us. He is real and He deserves our worship.
I recall someone wrote that, “some men go fishing without knowing that it is not fish they are after”… Your little film says that beautifully and without highfalutin language. Thank you for sharing your soul and the beauty of your surroundings. That stretch of the river is a near perfect example of mid-west trout habitat.
JESUS never started a religion! He lived, died and rose from the dead for a faith! I too find peace on the cold water so don't get me wrong, but you gotta see that CHRIST is more than a religion. It's a personal relationship just like you and the river! Forever my love to you guys, seek HE who saves and may you find that peace that you search for on the river!

There is not amount of ridicule that could change my heart, because it has been sealed with the LORD JESUS! And I will tell you that I used to be that same way too! Non believer and mad at those who proclaimed faith in order for salvation.. I get it!!!!!! But when you are drawn in to GOD it all makes sense. Dip into some scripture and see what happens my friend. I am no better than you in anything other than faith and that's the problem with most do called Christian's. They love to get mighty meanwhile doing that is a sin too. I'm not talking about the televangelist kind of faith,. I'm talking a real relationship with your maker from your own heart. It's called being born again. It took a long time for me because of false teachers, so I understand that trepidation of seeking the truth. But the bible says to ask , seek and knock and you will be answered. I have no problem with you in the least for your doubting. Just think about it. Check out a video called GOD of wonder's and evolution vs GOD. My Great Great Grandfather Reuben Babbitt JR. spent many years on that river,it was his sanctuary ❤

The Au Sable is so beautiful, you can’t beat it.
