Been listening to a lot of J Dilla recently, has helped me so much through all this lockdown . If anyone sees this, hope you’re safe and well from across the pond.
You and me both homie, dillas beats and comment sections always make my day a lil brighter, take care
Wtf everytime I look for a Dilla beat I end up finding new ones that I've never heard of. This guy must have the biggest catalog of nasty beats of all time. Just imagine how much he never released and just saved on his MPC.
J Dilla's making fresh beats from beyond and releasing them for us to hear!
He wasnt vocal about who he "sold" beats to. I dont think anybody know all his work because of this.
@@sundrak1 hence why when pharell williams gave him a shoutout back in 2004, a lot of the audience had no idea who j dilla was. but by that time he had already put out so much. like wayne said, "real G's move in silence like lasagna."
I've wanted to hear this my whole life and didn't know it.
The snare..the flute..the twinkles..everything just comes together in perfect harmony into one fine ass beat. R.I.P 😔❤️
This is not a beat, this is poetry
Are you trying to say that poetry is better than music why do people comment stupid shit like this
@@FireHydrantForeheadNyquil hey ignorant guy, jimmy joe is just saying that this beat is more like poetry because it speaks to the soul, none of the statements he made implied that poetry is better than music.
this is so chill. this is perfect to walk down the city at night after a long day of work.
the way he finessed the angelic voices at the end is something else.. this beat is heavenly
Same Dilla face sticker on my back windshield rollin' around Detroit showing respect like I'm suppose to. Dilla will always be Detroit's finest! R.I.Beats
That’s wassup the whole summer I worked replying to you trying to listen to every Dilla song but it’s impossible, dudes an alien from out of this world because I cannot stop finding more ❤
The hair on my arms is standing up and I’ve been listening to this joint for years… RIP Dilla. You will forever be remembered 💯
Right on point man, I like to spark me up some good green and blast this on repeat💯💯 J Dilla😔 the good die young.
Just turned 25 recently. Just got into Dilla, inspiring to make music, produce what's been lacking. I've always had an ear for melodies . And this man had an ear far surpassing what I thought was good
. I'm learning taking notes, listening to every second this guy offered to us
T
His production speaks so much more than an MC spitting out the truth
Because truthfully you natural vibe with it rather than having to make out the words
Nice man. Love the passion you display. Hope you put the time in techniquely as while as creatively. Peace and blessings to you best wish
Thus why I've alwayz been an underground head, thank u 5 Elementz, First Down, SLum Village, The Pharcyde, Q tip, The Ummah, Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, etc.
This something that should be in Samurai Champlooo or The Boondocks, like a scene where Huey is just standing and thinking at the tree he chills on.
I'll never forget the first time I heard this beat. I was in the field next to the forest as the sun was setting on a humid day in SC. And I swear, as the twinkles kicked in (2:25) I saw the clouds turn into a rainbow following the sun. I literally saw a rainbow in the sun's tail.
And yes I was elevated
There are and have been many amazingly talented producers but nobody, absolutely no one can step up to Dilla.
Some of that JD magic. Music today is missing this.
+nitrous36 Most of it is missing that magic, anyway. Look around the Internet for some lowkey hip-hop producers, and some have that bit of magic.
JD magic doesnt come by often man. It is a shame. God was jealous we had him down here it seems like.
Dilla is one of a kind but talent is still around. it's just that treasures require some digging to be found. good luck.
One of my favorite beats from Dilla, he just killed this with a murderous bassline and the snare kicks!
his loops hardly sound like loops. their hypnotic 😂
The drums weren’t synchronized that’s why. It’s a live play through basically making it not a perfect loop making it sound unique
This goes deep even by J Dilla standards
This man is a legend grew up listening to him especially in slum village RIP
Dilla’s art is still very much missed... his music just puts me in such a meditative state 🌊🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
that snare
EarthQuakeMusic I don't understand if it is a clap or a snare but that is awesome. Probably one of the best songs he ever made
lil late but it seems like he has a clap, snare, and a snap all layered on each other. or at least just a snare and snap. hes always been known to layer tons of sounds on each other to make new ones
Everything turns to gold !!! When Dilla songs play!
Words can’t describe how good this dilla beat is. Rip to one of the goats of hip hop production 🎧
Pretty sure he's flipping the vinyl static sound in this! Wow! Never ceases to amaze!
this bassline... aaawgh...
Nobody could make beats like Dilla. You give that guy and Mpc and some records and he makes 🪄
what a guy. all his work hit you so hard.
One of my favorites by him at this point 💙 forever reppin Dilla
J Dilla and Nujabes RIP
Rest in peace, paradise, prosperity, positivity and eternal love, happiness and joy
2021, rest in peace the best beat maker, hip hop producer and mc of all time.
All the poetic good reads have migrated.
Amazing BEAT!!! What is there not to like??? Much love J DILLA!!!
He simply just threw this together beautifuly
Timeless Music. This man did not produce beats, he composed music. This is not a beat, it's a short symphony. Man made a symphony out of a loop. SMH. 1 OF 1.
j dilla that legend
Calming💙
This is what the world is missing music like this not this mumble and Drake shit that's popular now.
Shivers everytime I hear this beat..

Smooth . . . J. Dilla on the track
Alltime!!!! Instrumental and Phat Kat vocal version. Just brilliant. Both

The subtlety in this beat...
Something in my head i cant explain it
Lemme pick up the pen an reiterate it
Constant devastation through hesitation
Break the limitation of over observation
Kick it back an be patient
Reassert common designation
To gain recognition form a
Competition

that clap/snare is brilliant
She's the one that got away.
That was the day I got swayed 😂
Had to pay the price more than twice.
My pride kept me away from getting advice.
To be precise, I did this to myself chilling with rebels.
It's simple
I struggled early.
Ditching school, doing drugs, chilling with many different type of ladies.
Baby I was lost cause I done and did you dirty and I couldn't understand why.
Life was getting blurry until I found a bible in my classroom.
It fixed my attitude, now I'm here to show my gratitude.
You gave me a different point of view.
I hope one of these days you forgive me,
Pretty Fine Beautiful Lady.
And I promise I'm no longer shady.
Like all of Dilla dogs stuff. Absolute banger. RIP we miss you jaydee
moonchild by king crimson sample, just beautiful, unbelievable
real good shit maaan aprreciated
They still cant fuck wit the dilla beatz is timeless
There's somethin about living beyond space and time
to some an impossible place to find
Death told you the way
A heart of gold told me mine
The ways of the world ain't forever
Religion is a crime
Since 94' I've done better under do or die pressure
then money did to keep broken homes together
My Godhood taught me to respect Life and fear none
Be the truth , live the ways of the sun...
not sure if you know who cise starr is, but this sounds like something he would write. look him up if you don't know him already. highs 2 lows is a great song by him. you can write some good stuff!
For certain, work where suspect divert attention, ascension is suspended, demands from the unrelenting, call suspenders upenders, bending vibes to assert detention, detain gain, holding minds to a stiff perspective, elect time to take back pause playing, erect rhymes that bring back head swaying, no delays on days where ways went where cash spent, meant everyone ate, plate full with plenty left
Dilla the GREAT
real art
Love is bitter.. sweet.. It started from a handshake to a kiss on the cheek...
Very dope track ! 👏🏾👏🏾 🗝💸

Does anyone else notice how much influence this guy had Dr. Dee's production?...I mean the Chronic 2001 and beyond dre?? I love listening to instrumentals...I just came across j dill 5 days ago. This man is literally just too much for words. All praise be to Allah for true Hip Hop. Rip. May Allah rest your soul.
Official classic
love
that bassline!
King Crimson was here
Diego Balut
I just found out that it isn’t moonchild. It’s “the dream” by king crimson. I got in on CD and resample it bcuz on j dilla his version the Snares are a bit too loud for me.
@@dg5832 if i am not wrong, its moonchild, the composition of the song is divided in 2 sections, and you are right, the first section is call the dream, and the songs real name is "Moonchild (including The Dream and The Illusion)" :) i got the vinyl, incredible record. Love jay dee sample one of this!
Flowing with the rythim
That jay dee brought
I cant think of other ways
To express my thoughts
Cause his beats are so ill
And the vibes give me chills
I had to write a rhyme
In respect to his skills

I wish i could rediscover Dilla all over again. That feeling you get when you first hear this is hard to replicate
This beat gives me shivers, no matter how many times I listen to it.
There’s no other feeling like it
Fr, Dilla phase was an amazing time in my life
