One of the craziest things to me about this series is Miami is actually playing great defense. The Nuggets we’re putting up 120+ with ease in the previous rounds, and they’re scoring around 111 against the Heat. Miami have slowed down Denver’s offense but they can’t score enough consistently to really stay in the series.
Thats because Porter (who IMO is their 4th best player but probably third best offensively) is doing so poor and in game 4 nobody did great except for Brown and Gordon
I understand D Mills' Celtics point because styles make fights. Just because the Heat matched up good against Boston doesn't mean they were a better match up for Denver than Boston would've been in theory.
@@MARS-qm9qt oh idk who would've won but Miami beating Boston doesn't mean Denver would've done the same. Sports don't work that way because the schemes/styles of play/and things are to be factored in. Denver looks like a juggernaut nonetheless
@@hashtagstunna1112 I hear you. But having watched every dribble of the season for the nuggets and most any other team games I could catch. Nobody was beating the nuggets this year. Not best of seven
The problem with that is they didn’t match-up well. Celtics had the advantage in every series they played in, yet struggled in every one. Then lost to the Heat who were smaller, less talented, and more injured
@@s.c.6989 that is true. Boston has an IQ/Toughness issue for sure. I'm not a Boston fan just an objective observer. Boston also has what I call "the bozo gene" where they forget how to play on both ends for stretches that costs them games
The confidence you have going forward when you got Jokic every single possession is insane. I feel like whenever he catches the ball it's wraps for the other team, which I haven't felt like since MJ (maybe LeBron especially in 2018).
The difference between Denver and Milwaukee and Boston is that Denver’s offense is dynamic. The Heat do a great job of taking what you great and either taking it away completely or use it against you. Giannis constantly driving into a crowded paint and playing extreme levels of drop coverage. Boston still hasn’t learned how to solve the Heat zone. Living and Dying by the 3. Jokic has great touch around the basket so the paint being packed doesn’t mean anything and the Heat had to even stop playing zone because it wasn’t working. That style of unselfish basketball is what makes Denver nearly unbeatable
12:00 To answer your question P, the first person to come to my mind was Markelle Fultz. I know it wasn't part of the 2015 nor 2016 Draft Class like you requested but thats who came to my mind first as Markelle is part of the 2017 NBA Draft Class. But for the 2015/2016 Classes I'd go with Jaylen Brown or Kristaps Porzingis although I know they are stars (or borderline in KPs case), I truly believe they can be top 2 players on a championship team within the next 2-3 szns on different teams 😉
I think if you did 2019 it would gotta be RJ. He is basically a younger, smaller less athletic version of Wiggins. He is more aggressive than him. I think RJ’s ceiling on a championship team is the 2nd or 3rd best player like Wiggins.
@@olamideolanrewaju6581 FAX! I love the RJ pick. So many of the top 10 picks in the 15/16 draft classes are out of the league so it’s hard to really answer. Like Emmanuel Mudiay I loved so I might’ve chose him but he in the G-League 💀
Mines from the 2015 and 2016 draft are ben Simmons Markelle Fultz as well and Jonathan Issac for Markelle I think he can be what lonzo was before he got injured an all around guard that can do a bit of everything and for Ben Simmons… he’s need a warriors type team that would take his time with him and bring the best out of him I think a good landing spot for him is the spurs and for Jonathan Issac before he was injured as well he was on of the best perimeter and interior defender can guard all 5 positions if he at least 70 percent what he was on defense and had a decent 3 point shooter he be on a key piece to a contender
That game was intense and really fun to watch. The defence from both teams was amazing of defence. The passing was a joy to watch, not just from Jokic, but Murray, Butler, etc. And the Heat kept it a game until the last few minutes.
RJ barrett eventually being able to lead a second unit in scoring and playmaking can equate towards condensing his talent into ideal role for contender
I think KAT is probably gonna be an amazing 3rd option on a competing team at some point of his career. Can def see a a world where he just needs to average 18-20 ppg 8 rebounds & like 2 assists are the 3rd option on a championship level team. Ideally the other 2 would be a defensive minded C/PF & a PG
Pierre and Mike go in on Dmills pickup runs every pod😂 They need to accept that this is just his game at this point. He got that Ayton gene but it dont matter because its fuckin pickup
Jokic is just too good. He's yet to have an all-star teammate (although Murray is clearly all-star level) and is just proving that you don't need a cast of superstars to win in this league. As long as you have guys that fit with your superstar and everyone buys in, you can have success.
I’m proud of my Heat for making it this far tbh. Sucks to lose (although I’m not giving up on them yet-can’t as a fan) but bruh this surprise run after an awful season was great. It motivated me in my personal life to never give up despite how tough the journey might’ve been #HeatNationStandUp ♥️💛
Ben Simmons could actually fill the same role as Aaron Gordon if he can get his mental right and be aggressive in the dunkers spot. He plays good defence and can play the 4 cutting around and getting dunks when you have a Center that doesn’t play under the rim
Taylor Hendrix came from my county in south Florida, stellar guy with a very humble personality would contribute to a winning culture with his work ethic

Very hypocritical for p to be critical of dmills saying a bday s/o from drake would make his day or week when he gives birthday s/o every other pod with the intention of making someone’s day
The issue with P’s question is that the Magic and Timberwolves let their guys develop as a #1 option for longer than most bad teams rn, if you look at teams that are bad, very few of them have guys that have been on the team for 5+ years Some interesting young guys that could take a step back to be complementary players are: Zion, JJJ, BI, RJ Barrett
P needs to chill on Dmills and his blazers idea’s obviously KAT , Pascal , Ayton are good players but the addition of them would literally give them a ceiling of a 7 seed which is crap … and we all know the best possible addition would be Embid but the blazers don’t have the assets so that’s where I think Dmills is
if kat eventually lands in portland, seeing dmills is gonna be hilarious. bro hates him so much. dmills, as a wolves fan, don’t fall for the hype(?) (negative hype, i guess)kat is a real good player on the floor and even better dude and easy guy to root for off the floor.
