Hello, I just had to say, I love all music, including classical. and to me there is a lot of very beautiful classical musical pieced out there, but in all honesty, rarely do I hear one that is SO beautiful it brings me to tears... well.. this one is one of those! I was tearing up like an infant by the end of it! A very interesting part of this, is they are playing the Horse head fiddle, (violin). A very special fiddle from Mongolia, that has only two strings. The first time I ever heard of this incredible instrument, was when I learned of The HU, (absolutely LOVE them by the way). But when the add for this came on, it was in the background as I was listening to the Hu, and it was so beautiful, I stopped what I was doing and looked at the add... well.. I HAD to click on it and hear the entire thing... and fell in LOVE with this! I even shared this with all my contacts I could! I hope I hear a LOT more of this incredible music! BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you!
not only this is Morin Huur but it is a very special Morin Huur - the front is actually covered with animal skin (see the lack of the f holes) and this is how Morin Huur used to be. see Steve Morel's video on this topic - ua-cam.com/video/WUZII0iub78/v-deo.html
The piece is about eternal and unconditional love of mother. Tearing up, in my opinion, is very true and logical reaction for someone who really felt it. This is composed by one of the greatest composers of Mongolia and when he wrote it he was near to death as had end-stage cancer. Perhaps the music reflects loving memory of mother by son who has lived incredible life that is ending soon. Thank you for sharing your feeling. In the end the composer's own word "The feelings that can never be expressed in words are played by music" was quoted. Forgive my not very poetic translation of what was said beautifully in my language.
