And yes, magicaids posted a video in June, making him publicly perhaps the first person to see the combo potential and make something out of it.
Hey Seth! Another great video. I play a similar deck and have been having success with 2 Flamekin Harbingers in place of the Soul Scar Mages. They can still get in for damage or at least chump block and they allow you to tutor your best card. Putting Incinerator it on top instead of in hand sucks but you have LUTS to draw it and Thoughseize and IoK can't hit the top of your deck. Another cool interaction is to play Spitebellows in the board for killing nasty X/6 dudes like Kroxa and Uro or even Wurmcoil, and Flamekin Harbinger can tutor for it. Anyway, I enjoyed the video! Keep doing your thing, bro.
How about Ramunap Ruins in the mana base? The opportunity cost should be really low but it might be a tiny bit flood protection. Castle Embereth might not be usefull at all but also a consideration?!
I think for this type of combo-ish deck, i would likely play a seal or suspend first before creatures just for the sake of drawing an incinerator on the next turn to blow-off the combo.

Mtg aids also plays mtg and there's a lot of times when someone else plays it first. Just cuz you see it there's doesnt mean he made it. Magic has a limited number of cards. Its only about time these decks get made. I hate when people think they are first to creat it. But with mtg aids. I believe his is always a front runner on these decks. But idk if he's first. Like come on im new and even I could come up with this deck.

It's more a critique of the "blacklisted" channels and things Seth can or can't say without getting in trouble with WotC. He can't mention troublesome channels like Magic Aids or Alpha investments or he risks not getting preview cards, being invited to videos or panels and support from WotC. If you look at what PleasantKenobi and Tolarian Community College, both Vince and Brian have stated their relationship with WotC has soured after some videos of them being critical of products, which is a great contrast with Seth, for example, Vince destroyed the Secret Lair Fetchlands while Seth vehemently defended they were "a great deal".
Gonna throw this out there for giggles. Incinerator can be played on turn 2 in Pioneer as well. Play serrated scorpion on turn 1. Turn 2, collateral damage the scorpion, dealing 5 to your opponent and play incinerator for 1. Rakdos sacrifice ftw.

Incinerator is SUCH an interesting card. Almost as if wizards wasn't happy with the way satyr firedancer flew under the radar for burn decks, and felt bad about ruining the faithless looting/phoenix combo. Incinerator is kind of like both of those in one imo, with a huge trampling body on top of it. Of course the downside of running it means possibly having a dead draw which is the last thing burn needs. Never really been a fan of light up the stage for that same reason, but does running both of them mitigate the risk?
13:42 I know you were kinda joking but I'd really enjoy invisible ink - full art cards. Textless cards are great but having to carry a written copie around for someone else to read is anoying. Invivisble ink with the option of beeing readable e.g. with shades or from a 45° angle could be awsome.
I'm thinking about making a budget meta battlebox with the decks on the mtggoldfish list. Some of them are built in different years but they probably work well against each other.
You say that Chandra's Incinerator hasn't really caught on, but I've definitely seen Reid Duke get stomped by it more than once while playing Jund. It actually lines up decently well against the Jund gameplan against Burn (winning with Goyf beats after emptying Burn's hand kind of like what happened G3 in that Dimir matchup)
It's just insane against the removal in Jund. It dodges Bolt, Fatal Push, and Abrupt Decay. Jund would almost be better off playing Doom Blade/GftT, if Incerator was more than a fringe spell, anyway.
Personally, I'm not sure separating the matches on youtube is ideal - I think just separating intro/matches/wrap-up would be fine. Just because sometimes I pause and end up seeing how much time is left in the current match... which unless it's game 3 tends to spoil the match, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that happens to.

Your concession at 29:00 was a little premature. It was only a tiny chance, but you could have drawn Light Up the Stage into 2 burn spells (except for Rift Bolt) or 1 burn spell and 1 creature with haste.
Saffron, you mentioned the addition of horizon lands in non budget deck would be nice, but in the non-budget deck list of the article there's none, what kind of lands could I trim to add sunbaked canyons?
It's been two weeks but since no one has responded I figured I would mention that boros burn usually runs the full 4 sunbaked along with one or two islets with around three total mountains.
I build Magic Aids' version and got absolutely rekt by Chalice of the Void and Leyline of Sanctity. I don't recommend this deck for anything other than a novelty. The Demon of Death's Gate deck worked much, much better! :)
Doesn't matter what version of burn you play, most of the time Sanctity and Chalice will rekt you, doesn't mean it's a bad deck, always splash white for those wear/tears.
Chalice and Leyline are going to wreck most budget versions of Burn. They are the main reason most non-budget builds splash white for artifact/enchantment removal.
i've been smashing my locals for the last few months with incinerator. you don't want to play guides, vexing devil is where it's at. turn 1 dart, turn 2 devil/dart/incinerator. they never let you have a turn 2 4/3. it's my plan c
At least for this deck, the need is to play turn 2. Since there is no ramp, provided you have both land drops, you only have 2 Mana available. Incinerator needs at least one of those Mana, and then can be reduced the additional 5 by damage. If you use shock on that same turn then you have only done 2 damage turn 2 and incinerator would still cost 4. With seal and rift bolt,.you can play them turn one but they don't go off till turn 2, better yet they go off on turn 2 for pretty much free. So turn 2, rift or seal does 2 damage, one Mana for a 3 damage spell. And remaning 1 mana to play that incinerator....if I wasn't too confusing 😅. Yes shock is good but in this deck you need to focus on incinerator
To play incinerator, just like rift bolt. You don't want to spend mana for burn damage the turn you play incinerator. Seal/rift on turn 1 + bolt on 2 give you turn2 incinerator.
It's for Chandra's Incinerator. We need to have five damage on turn two. Rift Bolt and Seal of Fire both let us cast some damage on turn one, but save it for the next turn so we can play Chandra's Incinerator.

Most of the card choices are obvious, so it's probably not his personal achievement if the deck is now succesful. E.g. Modern Humans is a different story: that deck was a new, unique idea (as far as I know).
So much flood. Perhaps playing 17 lands would've been better since you run almost only 1-drops. Even running the playset of Incinerators is not worth 19 lands, since you want to win maximum at turn 5 🤔

It wasn't like he developed Lantern Control after dozens upon dozens of games and careful study of meta adjustments and Saffron copied the decklist and claimed he invented it. The people in the comments should be actually giving credit to whoever first put lightning bolt in their deck and birthed the archetype of "lightning bolt decks" cause Magic Aids and Saffron is stealing from them.
Opponent is doing awesome janky combo with suspend artefacts. Seth is the fun police burn player. Talk about some irony.

You don't need to turn on spectacle with a burn spell if they crack a fetch. They do it for you.

Oh, it shows up on occasion, but the top tier Burn lists aren't Incinerator lists, they are mostly Lurrus lists.

17 is too low. You'd never draw land 3 that you always need. The optimal would just be some horizon lands
