His song “Agape” from If Beale Street Could Talk is one of the most stunning songs ever. He’s such a talent.
I love that one so much! ( and the others he did for Beale Street as well)
my most listened to song for the second year in a row.
I was just about to write the same comment
I love Agape 🎼🙌🏾
just listened to it for the first time. thank you so much for this recommendation! it's beautiful.
“Do you think anyone would notice this?”
Have you met Star Wars geeks?
There’s a bunch of videos about the different opening themes of Andor.
Some combined all of them together.
Marva’s Funeral March was so brilliant, emotional, and passionate very moving. Awesome that they played it live within the episode.
Have you met Star Wars geeks 😂😂😂
Amen bro
LMAO me literally coming over to this video directly after watching an Andor intro compilation.
Never skipped the intros for Andor. His work is phenomenal!!!
Yes!!!!!
All three volumes! Stunning!
My son graduated from Berkeley school of music. He starting to get in the industry of film score. I pay a lot more attention to the music when I watch a movie now. And the music is extremely important, it’s like the backbone of the movie! And I’m very proud of my son. He’s very talented!!
Berklee School of Music in Boston or University of California Berkeley School in California?
I absolutely did notice the difference themes in Andor. It became a part of the story.
He came to speak at one of my classes a couple years ago and was just the sweetest guy! I wasn’t even that familiar with his work back then and he was one of our most inspiring guests.
What a blessing. He figured out how to live his dream. And his partner is part of it and shares his passion..
His work on Andor is brilliant
His Barry Jenkins scores are timeless. The fact that Moonlight's score lost to LaLa Land was criminal. And man, 2018 w/Blackkklansmen, Black Panther AND If Beale Street... scores all nominated was a 3-way death match to the end. All 3 deserving.
I agree on Moonlight. That score was one of the stars of the movie....period.
Love Mr.Britell's work! Had the chance to meet him at a Q&A after a If Beale Street Could Talk screening and it was quite delightful listening to him speak about his symbiotic working relationship with Barry Jenkins. A true inspiration !
I enjoy listening to the musical scores Nicholas Britell crafts.
Some of us definitely notice music for movies. Sometimes we like it more than the movie itself.
Loved him in andor
For me music 🎶 adds something to the listening to a FILM 🎥 as much as watching it ..
“Do you think anyone would notice this?”
Yes, for the love of god yes. People notice love, care, creativity and brilliance. What a strange question.
Genius! And doing what he loves...Now, let's all have some of that!! ❤️❤️
An outstanding composer of our times!
Great composer. Succession scores are little masterpieces.
Hands down the most amazing writer! Love everything he does!
Absolutely marvelous and humble guy. The true definition of an artist who focuses on expressing what's in him rather than appealing to an audience. I am just saddened that most theatrical music seems to have dropped in terms of quality. Faster turnarounds and less focus come at a very hight price I am not ready and willing to pay. And yet, many do. This is why great music, when you happen to stumble upon it, is such a standout. And my definition from great music is simple: Something individual that does not just illustrate what's happening, but adds another layer of emotionality that our mind might not pick up, but our heart certainly does.
I love the score to moonlight :)
Listen to Nicholas's "Song of Hal: Strings in B Minor" from the movie "THE KING" on your headphones. It boggles my mind that he didn't win an Oscar for this. It connects to your soul.
Love both Andor and The King
Award britell for andor. Immediately 😍
Live inspiration for me
I'd be interested to know what programmes he uses, especially for the orchestral movements. Any ideas guys?
Haven't seen many composers who use Ableton Live for film scoring.
Genius
encore!
I would highly recommend buying his soundtrack to, IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK. It is some of the most tender, heartbreaking and beautiful music you will ever listen to, especially the piece, AGAPE.
Nicholas Britell's music for Andor is brilliant why didn't they mention it?
They did.
It's prominently featured at 5:52.
They did mention Andor. Sorry I goofed
Can he please, please please write the score for all future Star Wars movies?
Korg Trinity?
He and Ludwig are the greatest composers at the moment..
Personally the music can make or break a show/movie. If it's not right it can just ruin a moment.
Beethoven. Pat Finnerty. 4 life.
The most impressive thing about Nicholas isn't his music writing or how well he plays instruments. It is his wife. She is stunning.
I think Nicholas could play Bill Gates in a movie.
Britell is a genius. However this interviewer was out of his depth.
lets just say Rodgers and Hammerstein, Ennio Morriccone, Marvin Hamlisch etc arent losing any sleep over this guy
Well they're dead so I would hope not
What a waste.
Hip hop has to be inserted into everything 🤮
One show
