How to Decorate a Journal Cover, Decoupage with Rice Paper and Clear Epoxy Resin

IHello friends!
I'm going to decorate the cover of a journal for you today that I made in two other tutorials.

I chose a decoupage with rice paper over which, instead of the final varnish, I will pour clear epoxy resin.
The journal sheets are steeped in coffee and black tea then stitched together and bound in a bookend .
On the back of the log I will work a texture with tiny cracks.
To help the epoxy resin release air bubbles I use a gas lighter, but be careful not to leave the fire too long in one position, you can burn the resin very easily.
After 24 hours, my log is done and ready for use.

this is wonderful work ❤... please, what kind of Cadence product is this that you used on the front? do you apply it with a wooden spatula and then sprinkle it with water? what is that? why did you lift only the left side of your book before applying, should it be slanted while applying this mixture?

Thank you very much, it is epoxy resin. The resin is liquid, it can flow. It is important to have the cover perfectly straight, and the resin layer to be a thin layer.

does it mean that the surface needs to be tilted a little so that the epoxy spreads nicely?
and did you spray the epoxy with water immediately after application or when the epoxy dried?

it's not water, it's a lighter with fire, to help get the little air bubbles out of the resin. I will make subtitles in the following days
