    I am not an experienced painter and have tried dry brushing. I found it works when you want that grimey look, but what about it you want something a bit brighter. I will be wanting to paint tidal blades 2's minis soon and some of them are more of a bright Caribbean feel.

      @@don_dad those look like some fun minis to paint! Are you wanting to use speed paints or regular paints? If you are using speed paints and slap chop I would go with a grey prime and then dry brush a bit with white.

    Edging rather than coating with metallic paint is a good idea....for me I just coat it but seeing it used in large quantities I'm sure it aesthetically gets to be too much sometimes

      The more I paint the more I see paints used in ways I wouldn’t have thought of using them.
