MAJOR ERROR! I'm so used to setting aside ally's for the story to put in later that I didn't shuffle in the Passengers into the encounter deck. I feel like I was ahead enough that I don't think it would have made or break anything. Just made it more tense. But if people think it's too unfair for this mission then I'm fine giving each Investigator a Mental trauma for all the passengers that died! 😆
27:00 You had 2 actions left not 1. Eon Chart and Hiking Boots are free actions. Evade, play eon chart, evade monstrocity, unused 4th action. You can't commit 2 copies of Unexpected Courage to 1 test. It says it on the card.
"I wish there were more weapons that dealt damage using agility" Well, you are going to looooove the Forgotten Age investigator's expansion. Ornate Bow is exactly what you're looking for. (There's also Enchated Bow in Edge of the Earth, but Monterey can't use it) Also, quick note on "Search the Encounter Deck and Discard Pile" stuff. You're free to choose whatever you find in the encounter deck as long as it matches the given trait, you don't have to grab the first thing you see. For example, the first time you drew Mysterious Chanting, you could've chosen to draw an Acolyte instead. It doesn't really matter in this scenario, but in others it's much better to just grab the easier enemy to deal with.
Oooh I'm picking my copy up today! Sucks I'm going away for the long weekend so I won't be playing with them till next week haha. And that's a really helpful tip! That makes searching the deck so much better haha. Do I still have to search the deck before Discard pile? Or is that also up to me.
@@Kiratze Completely up to you, technically the card asks you to search both at the same time. Honestly, drawing Mysterious Chanting without any cultists in play is the best moment to do it, as it can be an incredibly painful encounter card otherwise (2 doom is a lot).
55:38 Just to let you know for the future, except when you make your first hand of 5 cards before the game begins, everytime you will have to discard a weakness, you have to resolve its effect immediately before you continue the game and then resolve the rest of it
From what I've read online that's incorrect. You can't voluntarily choose to discard a weakness however if an effect in-game discards it randomly you get to avoid it.
@@Kiratze wow my bad, I have been taught this way but just checked it out and you are right! It makes Dunwich one of the easiest campaign then, as you discard card from your deck all the time 😂 I will add this to the list of what I was doing making the game even more complicated than it has to be (as if you needed that...)
47:34 you said you have 2 Spell Slots and 2 Arcane Slots but that's not correct. You only have 2 Arcane Slots, there is no Spell Slots as Spell is a Trait on a card. There are Spells that use the Arcane Slots or they may use a Hand Slot, those are different things. Also, it's nice to see a new player struggling with the deck and see the deficiencies of a Class like Rogue in earlier cycles, I recommend you pick Scarlett Keys, it fixed very much (as well as Winnifred's starter deck), those are really good for Rogue decks.
Oh yes! I know, sorry. I did mean just Arcane slots. I'm just used to only having spells in them haha. I do have Scarlet Keys and Winnifred's deck! Got them after starting this campaign though.
@@SlebenGates Haha almost! I'm not bothering with hunting down Mythos packs so to help restrain myself I'm only getting content that's packaged in the new format.

I just subbed due to your Arkham Horror content and immediately you dropped this chapter! Nice.
Awe, thanks so much! Glad you're enjoying the content 😊.

Another one! Looks like it's catapulted to the top of your favorite game?
Definitely up at the top of my list for sure! I never have just one "favourite" though haha.
